Jansons returns to Circus Recordings with the infectious house anthem "Medicine" feat. Dope Earth Alien. Following his 2019 debut on Circus Recordings with the massive ‘Switch’, Jansons quickly established himself as one of the most exciting UK producers on the scene and continues to demonstrate his ability to deliver dancefloor-focused house music. His latest track "Medicine" is no different.

Accompanying Jansons on ‘Medicine’ are the vocals of familiar collaborator and Toronto-based singer-songwriter, Dope Earth Alien. With her signature sound echoing over the track, she layers fun vocal lines over Jansons bass and percussion-laden production.

Following up one of the standout tracks of 2019, ‘Switch’ dominated the dancefloors of clubs and was a regular feature in the record bags of artists such as Marco Carola and Honey Dijon, as well as receiving a number of spins from Annie Mac and Danny Howard on BBC Radio 1’s Dance Music shows.

Embedding himself amongst a new-wave of underground house artists, Jansons has regularly appeared on Radio 1’s Dance Music shows alongside a number notable releases on labels such as Knee Deep In Sound, FourThirtyTwo and Hot Creations. He’s also performed at venues and festivals such as Fabric, Hideout, BPM and Warehouse Project. With career-defining releases such as ‘Medicine’ on the horizon, 2021 promises to propel Jansons further into the spotlight.

Poker Flat Recordings has been dealing out underground house music with a unique twist since 1999; from the defining debut 'Loverboy' through the Bugnology series, acclaimed albums and worldwide club hits, Steve Bug's essential imprint has unearthed new talent, developed rising stars and welcomed veterans into the fold. Steve Bug's reputation as an exceptionally gifted DJ, producer and music connoisseur is about to carry the beloved imprint to its 15th anniversary, which will be celebrated with its finest collection of raw talent yet, as seen on this second instalment of the anniversary EP series called 4 Jacks. 

John Tejada's 'Sweat (On The Walls)' is a stone cold minimal house classic, and it's in expert hands here with the low-down groove of Sebo K; his refix keeps it deep and sparse, but adds a nice layer of shimmy and shake that reveals a new melodic accessibility. 

Daniel Dexter's 'No House For Old Men' was a beautifully melodic single that lit up playlists and dancfloors in 2011, and a new remix by Tom Taylor & Gareth Whitehead adds a rich palette of melodic color and harmony paired with a rolling, propulsive beat. 

The other half of the EP showcases new original productions: longtime Poker Flat friend Josh Wink delivers 'Groove', which bounces with tongue-in-cheek energy and Josh's signature deconstructed acid style, while rising talent Anaxander reveals the quirky, classic deep house inclinations that has endeared him to labels like Quintessentials and Local Talk, with the lovely 'A Place To Go'.

Fifteen years deep, and Poker Flat Recordings is still at the top of its game.

Push serve up arguably their best compilation yet, handpicking the freshest sounds from a fertile and spectacularly diverse roster of producers of 2014. Bristling with energy, thoughtfully programmed and incorporating a range of tech house sounds, it's an essential round up of a vintage year.
The opening track, DJ Tennis & Mind Against's treatment of Trentemøller's 'Always Something Better' sets the mood and encapsulates the collection's ethos.

Deep, glowing pads intensify into metallic tones and dancing arpeggios as veteran and up-and-coming producers come together to rework a bona fide contemporary classic. Frank & Tony, the Brooklyn-based duo behind Scissor & Thread, dish up a hazy swirl of slow, reflective house to follow. And Vincenzo & Language hit you with the resounding piano, infinite guitar and soaring female vocal of 'Merry Go Round': proof positive that the quality level is going to be high.

From here on in, highlights abound: Kasper Bjørke delivers dramatic disco noir; Chymera and Beckers bring sweetness and light; heavy hitters Alex Niggemann, Vince Watson and Steve Bug serve up the latent menace of 'Materium', the grit of 'Planet Funk' and the brittle hypnotism of 'Pelican Glide' respectively. Olivier Giacomotto brings funkiness, Dast monstrous bass. Djuma Soundsystem plunge us into deep meditation.

Along the way, every corner of Europe is represented:
Romania's Mihai Popoviciu delivers the deep jack of 'Time'; Few Nolder and Mario Basanov represent a Lithuanian scene in rude health; Spain's deep
house aficionados Javi Bora and Le Vinyl team up for an exercise in brooding repetition. There's even time to travel through Venice (Lehar), Zurich (Hive-residents Benja & Reto Ardour) and pop across the pond to L.A. (John Tejada).

As if that wasn't enough, Matthew Dear (under the Audion moniker) teams up with Montreal's Tiga for a whirlpool of dirty, electronic funk and living legend Laurent Garnier pops by to burnish Gregor Tresher's dancefloor monster 'Nightcolors' to perfection.
