Had a lot of fun recording this live mix over the weekend on the 1210's, digging out some of my favourite peace division tracks from back in the day... yes, there's a few sketchy mixes, who cares when it hits like this!!!

Blurb: Monumental, a mix series I put together recently. It's a throw back to early 90s & 00s hedonistic house music of yesteryear, that still sounds as fresh today as it ever did... for those who know and those that don't, its Timeless. The title 'Once There Were Gods' refers to the producers & DJs of this era and the selections that are just a glimpse into my own collection, and this series a snapshot of favourite tracks from my favourite DJs and albums that got me into house music. After recently getting my vinyl out of storage, rediscovering these gems and finally updating (slowly) a lot to USB from the best sources I could find of tracks I didn’t personally own.(Part I) was mixed using my RX2 and digital masters, some hard to find gems with tracks selected from my favourite CD mix albums. (Part II) was fully recorded on my 1210s through the RX2 mixer and effects, while (Part III) goes back to the RX2 again featuring amazing cuts from other favourite albums and club night memories, spanning the decade and returning full circle. Special nods to the originators who started my passion: Renaissance to Global Underground, The Essential Mix to Ministry of Sound, Sasha & John Digweed, Paul Oakenfold, Ian Ossia, Pete Tong, Dave Seaman & many more... 
I recorded all the mixes in one take, I could of gone back and redone these fully within the DAW but decided to leave any slips, pops & crackles well alone with little post editing as felt it would take away from the essence of the mixes and what they represent to me... Hopefully you'll enjoy these as much as I did recording them, 'Once There Were Gods', is just a reminder... to remember and teach again - what the true clubbing experience can be, the pure essence of this hedonistic, spontaneous, thrilling and genre defying music, that the culture once was.
