Now let me tell you a story about the black power movement
Started as strangers but now, an intellectual unit
Met at the F.A.A, the foundation for aboriginal affairs 
That was in the 60’s now where do we go from there?
There was Billy & Lyn, Keith, Bob and Sol
More than a few yes we definitely had a goal
There was also the two Gary’s
And Paul and his sister that came to Redfern from Errambie  
Heard about the freedom ride and the black panthers  
Worlds apart but I guess they definitely could understand us
Stay fighting brothers there ain’t no other way
To regain freedom, it is the price of blood you pay
Malcolm x inherited guerrilla warfare
The cause of the mind state that streets have taught here
Patronised and victimised
demonised in their eyes  
White devil lies in disguise
Blackfellas going for the top prize

Set up the embassy to make a stand for rights

1972 election and we voted in Gough
They easily cry reds under the bed
