Since 2014, Public Release has been enlisting the raw, trademark groove of Richard Sen on a variety of now- renowned remixes. Label boss Eug has cited him in numerous interviews as being one of his all-time favourite producers, so it was inevitable that a solo EP would eventually materialize. That time has finally come, and in the Spring of 2022, the UK legend drops his solo EP “My Definition of Funk” on Public Release.

These three raw, gritty, hard-hitting, peak-time tracks are quintessential Richard Sen, combining the energy and influences of post-punk, breaks, and house in one sturdy sonic package.

Dutchman PTDD has boarded the Pleasure Express with a cleverly crafted, hard-to-pin-down 4 track EP. While each track is unique in it’s own refreshing way, his secret recipe clearly contains all of the dancefloor essentials: snappy break-ish drum designs, hypnotic (r)evolutionary synths & intergalactic basslines.

The hot air balloon drifted up into the sky, it could be seen overlooking the city, those perched in the tiny wicker basket below watched down upon a busy world of hustle and bustle.

The sky was clear but in the distance there was the odd cloud splattered against a deep radiant blue backdrop. The sun beamed down upon them as they continued to rise in the glow of the morning.

Perhaps this is what it felt like, flying that is. He’d always imagined it might be weightless and freeing, yet as he sat perched in the small booth he realised it was far more than that. It was a sense of being, a state of forever in which you might never land and touch back down to earth. That would be dreamy he thought..

Yuu Udagawa is set to release a new EP, a fruity assortment of fun electronic mischief which is reminiscent of early DJ Koze and old downtempo beat tapes. This one gets a big green tick and a thumbs up from us.

Intercept welcomes Tsepoback to the label after 2020's debut EP 'Twee' with a club-focused effort. 'Must Finish / Perc Track' is the result of a creative search where funand playfulness have been the main thread throughout the process of Jan's work.Being the closer of this period, the tracks are no-nonsense and technical, whilstremaining light hearted enough for easy listening. It's a difficult balance to strike, butTsepo does it with charm. We're happy to have him back on the label with thisimpressive two-tracker.

The Sound Of New York City has been going since 2008, born out of a musical movement and radio station, the label was established in 2019, all created by the much respected and experienced sound engineer Danilo Braca.  The label has released music by esteemed artists such as DJ Nature, Ashley Beedle, DJ Rocca, DJ Spinna, The Revenge, Synth & Soda, and SuperJaimie.The next one up on the NYC label is ‘Sïana  Woza-Woza’ by the label head himself, that includes a solid original plus a remix by the one and the only Ron Trent.
The A side kicks off with ‘Dubbed Sïana’.  Brimming with ethereal vibrations and a bewitching charm that lures and tantalizes the listener. A vacillating pad, kick drums, and a lively djembe are joined by a bright trumpet in this journey through a moody Afro-house groove.  Along the way, elements are layered with a loosely restrained acid gurgle and the hypnotic beckoning chant. Intensifying and retreating, this track never comes up for air. Like its "Woza-Woza" title suggests, Sïana is smoky and almost mystically enticing with its own unique blend of sonic flavours.
On the AA side Prescription Records master, Ron Trent, lends his signature refinement and style to the mix.  Trent blends succinct rhythms of the ambrosial hours with sultry echoes for a classic yet potent take on the original

In the wake of the ongoing Australian Bushfires that have devastated areas of New South Wales, the music community - both in Aus and further afield - have come together in spectacular form to raise funds for Bushfire relief. Be that through releasing new music, throwing parties or donating Bandcamp profits, we've seen a wealth of artists, labels and promoters use their platform as a means to spread awareness and gather much needed funds.

The likes of Mall Grab, Lou Karsh, Jensen Interceptor, Carla dal Forno and Animals Dancing have rallied behind the cause, and now Sydney-based label Moonshoe are joining them by bringing together 16 artists for a various artists compilation. The release features contributions from RAMZi, Freda and Jackson, Rings Around Saturn, Ben Fester and our premiere from French duo Nummer.

100% of the profits from the compilation will be donated to wildlife relief and conservation so please donate what you can.

Sonic explorers, label heads, pillars of the Melbourne/Naarm underground, Sleep D explore the rave unconscious - driving rhythms, hypnotic bass, worlds of echo and the hazy bliss of the morning after. Childhood friends with Iraqi and Maltese lineage, the duo and their legacy building Butter Sessions label have ushered in a new era, sensibility and productivity to the city that raised them.

A defiantly DIY two-man assembly line, Maryos Syawish and Corey Kikos have issued a steady stream of diverse records on their own imprint, as well as on like-minded international outposts Incienso, Planet Euphorique and Cocktail d'Amore. Releasing ‘Rebel Force’ in 2019 and ‘Electronic Arts’ in 2023, their albums bind a singular take on mutated house, bush doof, dub techno and downtempo, while their composition and production capacity has also been augmented via 2021’s chamber orchestra collaboration ‘Flashed Glass’ and the rescored film soundtracks for ‘Eraserhead’ and ‘Pan’s Labyrinth’.

With long-standing DJ residencies and an ever evolving live show fit for both clubs and vast paddocks, the dexterous duo’s alchemy has energised hordes across the US, UK, Europe, Asia and Australia.
