Belgium’s duo LOVELORN DOLLS strikes back with a stunning cover version of THE CURE’s cult song “Lullaby” distinguished by Kristell’s captivating female voice adding more catchy vocal melodies nicely merging with the Bernard’s distinct sound cocktail of incisive guitars and moody darkish electronics.
 
This song inaugurates the 2nd edition of the “A Strange Play tribute to THE CURE” compilation series released by the Alfa Matrix/Spleen+ label and is also released simultaneously as a video clip made by Kristell herself who is a visual artist and who quickly became passionate about the emergence of AI. Here we have the story of a girl who is followed by a strange guy, menacing and attractive at the same time. Will she succumb or will she manage to escape? The music video was made completely in tune with the times: she used artificial intelligence to make a mini-manga around “Lullaby” 's lyrics…
 
And when we ask Kristell why did she choose to write a cover of that very song, she says: “Lullaby is the first CURE song I heard as a kid. I must have been 9 years old when the music video came out, and frankly it freaked me out. And at the same time, its atmosphere attracted me, so I was in a permanent dilemma. It's a song that marked me, and naturally I offered to cover it!”.

Sleeping Circles Started out as one-man project of GEORGE GAVRAS (a.k.a. Mr Darkwave) Has Started With Infuence From 80s Scene Experiment With Various kinds of music. He Has Experimented With Techno Sounds And Psychedelic Trance Music. And He Has Compiled With Support Of Discobole Music Shop By Sony Music Tracks Within Two Collections ... Also By Rubber Records He Has Labeled Two More Tracks In Other Two Compilations. A Friendship That Had Roots From Distant Past Sakhs - Spk Who Is The Dj Resident To some Clubs (Rebound). He Has Given To Musical Influencial From Electro Dark Sphere And On A little time They started some Experimentation On this kind of music.. In Search To Complete the Group Within some Search to find artists- singer we met with the singer of what who become of our group Sleeping Circles.. Yannis Ntouvalis Joins The Project On October of 2002 in order to provide the Vocals. He also took the full rensponsibility of writing The Lyrics. Work started on the first trackson semptember 2003. After a couple of delay (due to external high workload) and technical problems 4 tracks were finally recorded : EMOTIONAL ENIGMA, BENEATH THE SKIN, THE FACE OF REASON, A HYMN TO LOVE. Under the maintitle :"HARMONIC CONVERGENCE"... There are been added 3 more songs: 1.AGONY RE BUILT, 2.INTO SLEEP OR OBLIVION, 3.ANOTHER KIND OF BEAUTY. So that it goes on...
