If asked to name a dance music Mecca, Velikiy Novgorod in Russia might not the first place you'd think of, but it's the home of Stogov, who here serves up a very fine four-tracker that defies easy categorisation, with an essentially deep house framework augmented by elements of disco, jazz and Balearica. If you're looking for tracks that'll instantly fill the floor down your local Ritzy's or Cinderella's you'll come away disappointed, but if you've got a club full of musically clued-up "proper 'eads" to satisfy then step right on in because the four cuts here should keep 'em grooving along nicely!
