For the second episode of Sliced Bread, we had to show love to the cities’ iconic style of sandwich. We rolled up to the new location of Rashers on Ossington, just south of Dundas, to taste the best peameal bacon sandwich in the city. Then we spoke to Chef Scott from Toronto Food Tours, about the sandwich's history as the cities' first food trend.

I chatted with documentary filmmaker and grilled cheese enthusiast Lauren Bridle about our experiences the sandwich, then we went off to Cut the Cheese in the Junction, to try some of the best grilled cheeses in the city.
