One thing that always made the Lord one of my favorites was that anytime I was playing any of his 12" records in the lab practicing or getting a set ready for a party was I would get just as into the music as the lyrics.  Sick beats to cut or remix to, and a class act since day one.  Best producer on the mic..period.  Would love a signed joint of these beats to my near complete vinyl collection of Lord Finesse.  Salure.

Damn, where's the snippet of 'Bad Mutha' ?, has always been my favorite track. Anyway, that LP is classic. The price should be givin to a cat which has never listened to that LP before. Keep the culture alive. peace

Shut off the TV, Dude !

So I'm a big fan of Sean Kantrowitz's podcasts (link below), especially "Making Illmatic" which he hosts with Midaz the Beast. The latest episode had them - and guest Supastition - breaking down the best tracks on the JayLib album, and at some point there was mention of how great De La Soul would have sounded on these beats. So I decided to test some of that out, and since I only have a few De La accapellas, I mixed in several other artists as well over about 10 minutes of my favorite beats from the Jaylib album. All vinyl, put together super quick, so it's a little rough on the edges but hope you enjoy!
