Dj.Mc is a producer/DJ from the south side of Chicago. He got into music and dancing through the Chicago Bud Billiken parade as a child and joined the South Shore Drill dance team, marching to Ghetto House. He started producing after hearing a mixtape by DJ Gant-Man who mentored him bonding with the footwork dance Clique Goon Squad. He appeared on Planet Mu's "Bang & Works" compilation, released an EP on Hyperdub and did his first Moveltraxx appearance earlier this year in the "Let Me See Your Footwork 3" project alongside DJ Manny, Jana Rush and DJ Earl. We are thrilled to release his new 5 tracks EP that encompass everything we love about the genre while showcasing MC's unique style and including a collaboration with chitown legend DJ Chip.

DJ.MC - Aye She Look Ight

Bogota label traaampaaa showcase yet another poignant city talent, this time with the triumphant Aitunz. A style bender in Latin club, techno & reggaeton, Aitunz lands on the imprint with his full-length debut 'CTRL + Z'. An emotive journey through sonic complexities, defining the pain and heartaches of intimacy, Aitunz labours these taboos into complex dance patterns that are suitable for both outside the club and in.

Our featured premiere 'WOW' featuring fellow citizen Pocket Tincho, is perhaps the most emotional track on 'CTRL + Z'. Panelled with deep chords and inward percussion, alongside echoing cries in emotional unison, it depicts a feeling of loss in its tentative atmosphere strongly alluding to our now insular digital world. Aitunz tells a story through sound, creating connectivity with the listener in an ease. It's a stirring, relatable piece that we're all for.
