Just in time for the Australian Summer, Sydney’s indie-electronic-popettes, Convaire bring the first and title tune from their highly anticipated debut EP, The New You.  

Equal measures quiet childhood nostalgia and barefooted Summer festival romance, The New You is a sparkling indication of what Convaire do so exceptionally well – the art of creating synth-happy, ‘80s inspired, chill-sweet pop songs. 

Inspired by the likes of Talking Heads, Friendly Fires and Phoenix, Convaire were first given airtime by local Sydney radio heroes, FBI Radio.

Since then, the four-turned-five piece released their first single Gate Track in September ‘10 to national airplay and gushing reviews.  Their exceptional reputation was vindicated whilst winning a Triple J Unearthed initiative, which saw the band play alongside Delorean, Kele (Bloc Party) and 2manydjs at Sydney’s iconic dance festival, Parklife.

Two singles, over one hundred shows and a few tambourine shakes later Future Classic saw potential in John Towey’s vocal likening to The Cure’s Robert Smith and the energy of the synth-loving Slattery sisters.

The New You EP is available in a CD + 7 inch vinyl package, which is exciting enough to warrant a shoe shuffle and a couple of hand claps. It will be available to get your hands on in the flesh on the 7th November 2011.

Mike McAlary (Guitar/ vox) and Oliver Duncan (Bass/ vox) are the creative minds behind Gung Ho. Their unique styles strive for originality and harmony. They’ve only just released the first single, Twin Rays, off of their upcoming EP and have already garnered a plethora of blog love from around the world.

They’ve also received accolades from national broadcaster Triple J, who’ve given the band an Artist Spotlight as well as glowing reviews from numerous presenters.

Their explosively precise live set has seen them support: The Holidays, Papa vs Pretty, The Scare, Ghostwood, Bleeding Knees Club, Millions, Dune Rats, The Belligerents, Comic Sans, The Protectors and Kids of ’88 to name a few.

Patrick Gallenmüller and Maysam Salehi alias Pele & Shawnecy the hard working guys from the south of Germany, coming up with their second part of "Kings of the Garden Part II". First track "savago" impresses with his groove and easiness and has already massive support from many headliners. Second track "focus" is definitely putting the focus on the night, great tuff vocals from Shawnecy himself. On the flip comes "passion" first really starting smooth than exploding in the middle of the track with a mighty bassline.Last track on the vinyl edition one more flawless laxly track named "out of mind" perfect killer for every house set with additional vocals from Shawnecy and the message "get back, relax and let your mind be free...".
