Bristol based producer edetto makes a return to Eats Everything & Andres Campo’s EI8HT imprint, exactly one year down the line since releasing his debut for the label.  A trio of chunky and funky tracks are dished up on the ‘Yo Yeah Sure’ EP, which comes backed by a remix from the techno dream weaver, A Sagittariun.

The EP’s title track packs a punch, as muscular kicks and crispy claps release bouncing stabs and vocal phrases for a real impressive slammer, whilst ‘Make It Work’ rumbles with intent as a Dance Mania style vocal is deployed over the tom heavy work out. Fellow Bristolian A Sagittariun takes time out from releasing his multi-faceted techno sounds for the likes of Rekids, Running Back and Kneaded Pains to deliver a thunderous remix that goes right for the jugular!  

Wrapping up this mammoth release from edetto is ‘Info’, another bass heavy belter from the talented DJ/producer that marks him out as ‘one to watch’ in 2022!

Radio Slave announces Rekids Special Projects ‘Actualize’ compilation and DJ mix - Part 1 will be released in January, with Part 2 to follow in February 2023.

Rekids Special Projects, the no-nonsense techno-focused sub-label of Radio Slave, aka Matt Edwards’ Rekids, launched in 2017 and has since released music from the likes of Mark Broom, Luke Hess, Jon Hester, and more. For the 50th release, Edwards readies ‘Actualize’, bringing acts from the wider Rekids universe into one slick collection, with the first part arriving this January alongside a DJ mix of the tracks.

“The original concept was a vinyl-only offshoot of Rekids, focusing on techno and a home for our extended family of artists. We’re now working with so many new and exciting young artists, such as Confidential Recipe and the incredible Theo Nasa, and Rekids Special Projects is a rock-solid platform to shout about good quality club-focused techno music. Fittingly, the eighth release on the EI8HT imprint comes from label co-founder, DJ, producer, radio host, and potty mouthed Bristolian, Eats Everything.  And just to make his mark on the occasion, he fires out eight tracks of funky, bottom end rumbling, club bangers.

‘8 Cubed’ assembles a brimming pack of modern and utilitarian, high tempo techno jams.  Produced over the last few months, in between a busy touring schedule that also encompasses EI8HT and Edible label showcases, Eats Everything has carved out a collection of cuts that embodies his current techno leanings, and a perfect showcase for the sound of the EI8HT label, run alongside Andres Campo.

Each one a serious pumper, the EP also features a guest appearance from Chi-town house royalty, Felix Da Housecat, whose WhatsApp voice notes to Dan Pearce AKA Eats Everything, become the perfect springboard for a vocal contribution to the hard, jackin’ energy of ‘Voicenote’.
