Drums are perfect along with your synths- I love this man, we produce very similar in the house genre. Your mastering is excellent along with the rhythm and the melodies. Vales debuts a massive minimal tech 2-tracker on Slightly Sizzled White with the tracks 'You Turn Me On' and 'Don't Call Me'. Both tracks fitted with catchy basslines and tight drums that drive the energy forward. Amsterdam’s Luuk Van Dijk lands on Jamie Jones’ Hottrax this July with ‘The First Time EP’. 

Releasing on the likes of Hot Creations, Solid Grooves, and his own Dark Side Of The Sun label, DJ/producer Luuk Van Dijk arrives on Jamie Jones’ Hottrax imprint for the first time with the aptly titled ‘The First Time EP’. 

‘The First Time’ leads the release with snaking acid lines and snappy drums featuring vocals from Newcastle singer/songwriter and Hot Creations affiliate Mizbee, whose previous collaborators include the likes of Jansons, Maxinne, Supernova, and more. ‘Jus’ Listen’ follows, opening with airy pads and choppy percussion, with piano chords and bouncing low-end keeping up momentum. 

‘Up North’ sees an amalgamation of glitched-out FX and warbling bass meet delicate atmospherics for a trippy late-night house jam, before ‘Don’t Mess’ closes the EP with bubbling synth hits, rolling basslines, and vocal chops.

Jamie Jones recruits Max Dean for ‘Start Screamin’ on Hottrax this July. 

Previously appearing on Resonance, Deeperfect, South Records, and more, Max Dean’s productions receive vast amounts of support from the likes of Michael Bibi and Jamie Jones. Now readying his first release for Jones’ Hottrax imprint, the UK-based DJ/producer drops two groove-laden tracks, marking some of his strongest productions to date. 

Leading the release, the title track ‘Start Scream’ brings swung drums, bouncy basslines, and memorable vocal licks together for an undeniable groover. ‘Yes Baby’ follows suit, bringing another welcome house cut, peppered with spoken word and eerie synth hits over funky low end and skippy percussion. 

Max Dean ‘Start Screamin’ drops on 22nd July 2022 on Hottrax.
