Slightly Transformed - Discography

This is the 77th release on Ireland's Elevation and features a classic disco tinged vocal courtesy of Disc Eyes and catchy hooks and grooves by the label boss and is sure to be a future Elevation classic.
Remixes come in two very, groovy and different flavours.
First up is Belgium's Max Telaer (Hustler Trax, House Cookin Records) who delivers a driving, club orientated version full of raw, pulsating energy to shake the bones and get you grooving.
Fellow Irishman Jisco Dazz Drops a deep, jazzy, acid tinged, old school belter that brings a big smile to your face while you can't help shaking your hips along to it.

The Disco Police is well known for their extensive editing career where they perfected the techniques needed to maximize the dance floor dynamics of a song whilst adhering to its original spirit. 
Their version of disco house music is a rich, percussive concoction, taking in their musical traditions as well as their beloved Chicago house, and blending elements of funk soul, jazz and disco into rich rhythmic collages, all held down by adept production touches.

Following outings on DeeVu, Pogo House, Plastic People Digital and Fruity Flavour - amongst others - Kindred Soul pops up on Slightly Transformed. In typical fashion, 'True Love' delivers a boundary-blurring vocal workout that happily sits at the aural intersection of Dave Lee style organic house, bumping US garage, soulful house and deep house. It's a musically rich affair, with live bass, sax, vocals and electric piano riding rolling, bongo-laden club beats. DJ Passion provides the obligatory remix, giving the track a classic disco-house feel via the addition of stirring strings, funkier bass, soaring chords and a serious of impressive musical build-ups. It's a fine remix that should appeal to all those who love the output of the Groove Culture and Z Records imprints.

If you're a fan of DJ Supermarkt's 'Too Slow To Disco' series you'll want to to check for this new three-tracker from Ben Jamin immediately, because the Liverpool-based producer - who's racked up releases on the likes of Hot Gorilla, Discoholics Anonymous, Hot Digits and, yes, Too Slow To Disco - captures that mid-70s yacht rock and Quiet Storm soul vibe perfectly. The title track is a sleek, sophisticated slow jam with jazzy overtones - if you'd told this writer it was a long-lost Captain & Tenille cut, I'd have believed you! - while 'Destiny' treads a more straight-up disco path and 'I'm Dancing' drops down into a low-slung funk groove, but you'll have to pick your own standout here... all three are so good that picking a favourite seems a tad redundant!
