Hailing from the Midwestern United States, Kiefer Ian is a DJ/Producer who is connecting the soul of house music to the world through the UK Garage sound. Originally from Los Angeles, Kiefer Ian is an influential taste maker in the American Midwestern electronic music scene. Kiefer got his start in producing early on in high school, tapping into Electronic and Hip-Hop oriented sounds. Since then, Kiefer has experimented with combining Jazz grooves with various styles of House music. You can hear Kiefer’s fascination with digital and analog synthesis via intense sample manipulation within his sound design. The California transplant became better acquainted with the UK music scene during the pandemic allowing him to release with labels Garage Shared and Beastwang. Being located within the region that birthed House music, you can hear how Kiefer Ian keeps the sound alive through his many musings, styles & inspirations. Becoming a rising name in the NUKG scene, He's heralded support from Bitr8, Shosh, Kiss FM, Solitude, and Basshive.

Downplay is proud to welcome back Birmingham producer BWK Project to the label for his brand new release “Round U”.

‘Round U’ is a perfect summertime anthem, immediately setting the vibe with it’s driving 4x4 groove and light melodic touches. Once the bass kicks in, it’s game over - and absolutely guaranteed to get any crowd jumping.

Second track ‘Secrets’ hits it’s stride straight away with a tough 2-step rhythm, before unfolding into a proper bubbler complete with diva vocal stabs and rolling bass.

Finally, label-mate Angus Green delivers another master-class in remix production, taking the title track and tweaking the formula just enough to bring something fresh to the table - further proving him as the one to watch in UKG.
