Slime welcomes an emerging young talent to the label in the shape of Greed for our 130th release. The 18-year old Australian producer joins our ranks with ‘Moonlight’, an incredible debut that belies his given age and presents a mature sound and melodic aesthetic which fits perfectly with the imprint’s sonic ethos. 

Opening track ‘All I Need’ aims straight for the jugular with a soulful drum & bass roller, resplendent with soaring vocals, glittering keys and skittering percussion. Shot through with a seductive sense of melancholy ambience, it feels like pure sunshine on a winter’s day.

The pace slows up a little for title track ‘Moonlight’, a smooth garage track with sublime jazz overtones. Warm chords glide over the surface of broken beats chopped to perfection, conjuring up dreams of twilight assignations in neon-soaked cityscapes.

‘Now More Than Ever’ takes a similar path, pouring sparkling atmospherics over a narcotic slow jam that washes through your mind like a warm ocean wave.

Label mate Blackboxx steps up on the remix for ‘All I Need’, mutating the original into an epic deep garage odyssey that only goes to reinforce his own reputation as one to watch this year.

Kitkaliitto come from Finland and are a really loose band in terms of membership - there can be one to five people in the studio just jamming together and what they usually generate is a music-driven stream of consciousness that also materialized through the years into these 6 exquisite tracks on their Pleasure Disorder EP.

They use analog and digital synths, guitar, bass, flute and sometimes have guest vocalists. Even though everything happens impromptu, there's more to these jam session than words could describe, hence the results are nothing short of amazing. They've been together, on and off, as Kitkaliitto for 10 years and their taste-range has led them in and out of electronic music, yet these tracks sound as timeless as music ever gets, six downtempo compositions that ooze the playful intimacy that can only be attributed to the decade of crafting a strong, remarkable sonic personality.

After hearing them on Natura Sonoris 4 years ago we connected through Borealis' "Voidness" where they were featured as remixers. We are proud to provide the platform for their sophomore release, 6 years after their debut on Kann Records and we are already excited about the Reverend Slim remixes EP that will follow later in the year.

synkro played vancouver in 2010 for one of low indigo's very first events. when returning in 2016, he and label-head michael red wrote a tune together during some extra days stay. low indigo's 12th release is filled out with perfectly tempered remixs from artists all representing their own unique pockets in the growing vancouver underground landscape - jade statues, eli muro, and self evident.

A software engineer at Ableton by day, Sieren’s love for UK influenced bass music and field recording and experimental soundscaping resulted in his Apollo debut ‘Static Polymorphism’ a masterly EP of spaced out street-rave soul. 

Now returning with the five track Ascension EP, Frick has tightened and toughened up his sound somewhat (see the caustic bass glower of ‘Slinger’), augmenting his starry eyed wonder with a firmer percussive underpinning and more driving tempos. However still present are his preternatural grasp of emotion and atmosphere that marked him out as one to watch - perfectly underscored by the heartbreaking beauty of the title track.

Fellow Apollo cohort Synkro AKA Joe McBride was instrumental in the curation of Sieren’s debut Static Polymorphism EP on Apollo, hand picking the tracks, as well as road testing them in his DJ sets. This time McBride goes one further, collaborating with Frick on the track ‘Lost You’ to memorable effect - the beautiful pads and ghostly piano are a perfect synergy of their complimentary skill sets. 

This is richly textured and intricately programmed post-bass music that is sure to satisfy fans of Burial, dBridge, Akkord with its soulful sincerity and warmth.
