I’ve written a lot of super depressing music in the last few months, but this song is not one of those endeavours. This song is a homage to the lush Australian outdoor party, where people slip into bizarre caricatures of themselves. Elemental bogans, essential Aussies, cooked mates, trashy babes – all united under a philosophy of love, support and joy. I’ve been enjoying parties like this for over 10 years… and for the majority of those parties found myself awestruck by the underlying vibe that the scene bares deep in its foundations. This song magnifies the happy-go-lucky, sharing, caring nature of the great people that you’ll find on dancefloors across the country and that feeling of freedom gained from a close proximity to them.

Casual Affection

This has been one of the easiest but also hardest songs to write. Bushi always used to encourage me to write simple, minimal music – this song is an attempt at doing so… Once I felt as though its elements were well balanced and I was finding a sort of success in writing something more simple, I had an insane urge to show this track to Bushi – he was always one of my biggest supporters and one of the most consistent fans and advocates of my music. He would listen to it on the way to work, show it to the tradies at the worksite he was on and always talked about getting me gigs at various parties over the world. “Dragonfly” is a gentle, melodic slow groove, a closed eye journey. Which aims to celebrate the gentle loving nature of my late friend; a beautiful, supportive, raw, authentic, loving man.

Dissolving

I have sat on this track for a long time... Very unsure if i should release it or not, because i have no idea if it will mean as much to some people as it has meant for me. 

I wrote this track in a period of turmoil where i was finding it hard to get motivated to do anything. This track, along with a sigil named: Hard work is the pay off, have helped me get to university on many mornings, and help me do weights on countless other days. 
I hope you guys like it, its somewhat embarassing for me to share haha

Incredibly delighted with what i would call one of my most coherent works to date. Harmonic flavours, boogie down good time, deliciously cheesy, slightly psychedelic.
