Ryan Kent Jr. bumped into Bobby Rahal before the Honda Indy 200 at Mid Ohio and got a few comments on the recent Steak 'N Shake partnership, Graham's season so far, and the possibility of running a two car team next year.

When asked about Steak 'N Shake and Maxim, Bobby mentions how great of a sponsorship is. Steak 'N Shake have organized a great merchandising effort along with a variety of promotions that have not only benefited Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing, but the Indy car sport as a whole. Steak 'N Shake being headquartered in Indianapolis helps strengthen the relationship along with a strong Indy car fans base of customers. Bobby also reveals that he expects Steak 'N Shake to be on the car next year as well, albeit not as confident that it could be ever race. David Letterman has also been an integral part of the relationship by participating in the promotions with the Late Show before stepping down.

"He's driving beautifully this whole year and that's why we are where we are in the championship."

On Graham's season so far, Bobby has nothing but good things to say. He was trilled as a team owner and father on Graham's with at Fontana earlier this year. Graham was worked very hard to have the performance he's had this season. The improved working relationship with his engineering team has shown itself in results on track.

"First thing we want to do is make sure we do one car as perfectly as we can, which I think, we are getting there."

When asked about fielding a second car next season, Bobby said it all depends on sponsorship. The interesting thing to note is many of Bobby's wins and championships in the past have come from single car efforts. They don't want to start a second car if it would take focus away from the first team. Bobby would rather have one great chance at a championship or win that two mediocre chances.

Bobby Rahal Mid - Ohio

Negri Jr., the leading prototype of the session managed a 2:31.611s in his Michael Shank Racing Ligier P2. We talked to MSR team owner, Michael Shank, after the practice session. He was pleased with the speed they've found at their maiden appearance in the car here at Road America. We also talked about the appearance of his new sponsor on the car, U.S. Auto Force.

RSR Racing team owner, Paul Gentilozzi, spoke to us after the session. We covered the session, what to expect for the race and the future of the LMPC class. Bruno Junqeira piloted his RSR fielded Oreca to third in class with a time of 2:30.926s.
