Brooklyn-based artist Nhii returns with a multifaceted, groove-driven sonic experience for sophisticated dance floors. Rooted in deep house and infused with a rich tapestry of organic textures, the release reflects Nhii’s artistic evolution and global influences, weaving together hypnotic rhythms, evocative vocals, and analog instrumentation.

At the heart of the EP lies the track, “Why Are You in My Bedroom”, a sultry, introspective deep house cut layered with haunting vocals, seductive basslines, and immersive sound design. The lyrics—“Give me more” and “Forgive me more”—hint at the tension between desire and emotional vulnerability, drawing the listener into a hypnotic trance.

“Tudo Vale a Pena”, a collaboration with Osaka’s Atsushi Asada, is inspired by a Portuguese-Brazilian proverb meaning “Everything is worthwhile if the soul is not small.” This sentiment, originating from poet Fernando Pessoa, speaks to the artist’s personal journey—an ode to resilience, passion and embracing challenges with an open heart. The track’s driving percussion, warm synth textures from the Moog Matriarch and Intellijel Atlantis, and atmospheric Portuguese vocals create an uplifting, transportive groove.
Both tracks are crafted with live instrumentation, including trumpets and guitar, adding a tactile, organic feel to the electronic foundation. With a clear vision of joy and unity, Nhii invites listeners to lose themselves in the music—whether on the dancefloor, in an intimate moment, or in deep introspection.
