Cocktail Party Effect starts 2023 with his debut release on Nervous Horizon: ‘Fixing The Roof EP’.

The South London via Berlin artist known for his jaw dropping releases on Tectonic Recordings delivers 5 solid cuts all with their unique style. Made with a bunch of battered vintage hardware: in particular 90s samplers, synths, filters and distortion units paired with the latest computer software, this project really pushes the sound palette beyond conventional club music.

The opening track Fixing The Roof feels like a classic Nervous Horizon track from the time the label first started gaining traction. Safety Button is the bass heavy - dance floor pounder of the lot, a must in every set! 767 enters the “jungle experimentation” realm reminiscent of early Paradox (DnB producer Dev Pandya). Gecko Slide & The Police Took My Garden Away present copious amounts of analog distortion and explosive drum patterns that are really at the heart of the Cocktail Party Effect modus operandi.

Dublin label and party series Ethereal Skies returns with the second offering from their 'Aerga' compilation series. Boasting yet another stellar line up of artists across 13 elusive tracks, the imprint backed by city native Mark Davis (aka darkmavis) continues to excel and push genre boundaries both in the club and within their discography.

'The boundless possibilities of electronic music are what make up Aerga, your listening experienced is enriched with everything from dreamy ambient, to pulsating hardcore, heavy bass and hard-drum, hyper maximalist takes on jungle, pure experimentalism and of course euphoric progressive and hard cuts of trance.'

Our featured premiere comes from adge's opening track 'psycho-ceramic', a pulsating tekky drum runner that sets the tone for the V/A as a whole. Horse-power hard drum clocking in around the 160 threshold, this is a titanic number. 

The compilation arrives in full on April 11th with further battle tracks coming from the likes of R. Kitt, DJ Deep Heat, Lúnasa, and many others.
