Its almost 5am right now. I just got off work. I came home and now Im listening to a track I wrote yesterday. As the track developed, I realized I was making it for a friend friend who past away while I was on tour in late 2014. I never got to say goodbye. But we never do, do we? Our last conversation I ever had with him didn't leave one a good note. It came from a loving place and I know he knew that. I know he knew I loved him, but this life gets complicated.
 
He was there from the start. He was there when I couldn't handle the pressure of the public eye and I hid. He was there when I was hurting and was broken. He was an inspiration. He was confused and hurting himself in his own way too.

This track was made as a representation (soundscape recreation) of a night I had with him and another very close friend in his apartment years ago while experimenting with a "other worldly" substance, trying to find some sort of truth. we all were confused and wanted answers we were not going to find. you never do... but we were young and desperate.

I do know that in that moment we all shared something beyond what is comprehendible. Something that couldn't be described. I know he can still feel it. That space we experienced together. 

This wasn't made for anyone but you my friend. I miss you. I will see you soon.
