Although he produces tech house and other electronic music, his inspiration comes from psychedelic rock, indie rock, and years of playing in bands. Ocean Roulette has past releases on Space Yacht, Psycho Disco!, Desert Hearts, In/Rotation, Box of Cats, Teethy, Medium Rare, and of course his EP with VNSSA on Holy Mole. House and techno come together almost like one of those Netflix specials about distant cousins who somehow get married without knowing it. Weird. 4X4 drums and a vibey grooves sling these two genres together like a bucket of beers and a sunset, which is why it’s always hard to say 'He's a techno DJ' or 'This guy is a house producer'. They are two of the same in many situations, and that precisely sums up Manolo!

A man of many talents is our Manny. A lover of the art, colour, creativity and lucky for us he has a fetish for kick drums. Lead track 'Sneakin' is a deep chordy house groove sprinkled with vocal chops and a funky bassline. We have been playing this one for quite a while and it’s great for us to finally have it out. On the flip we have two cuts that really showcase the extent of what Manolo is capable of. U Say has a touch of something for everyone. It’s emotional, it’s deep, but its definitely still party! Bday Cake is on a much darker techno tip featuring the perfect amount of 'shake that ass' (as some would call it). This ones a late nightery, but that’s why we love it.
