After our last edition of A Chance To Dance saw us host New York based Will Buck we return to home soil here in the UK this week where we are joined by Liverpool based DJ & producer Petals In Sound. 

Petals in Sound (Louise Baldwin) is a UK-based producer and DJ. After over a decade of living, working and partying in Southeast London, Petals In Sound recently relocated to Crosby in Liverpool.   

She has released music on labels such as Closer To Truth, Dirt Crew Records and DJ Spens Unquantize Records which have picked up support on the likes of NTS and the Slothboogie Radio Show. 

Her unique sound has been described as atmospheric house combined with deep electronica, whilst maintaining a deep house, jazz-like feel to her productions. She counts everyone from Daniel Avery to Chaos in the CBD as big influences. Catch her brilliant guest mix during hour 2!

For our last artist mix of 2022 we have one of the finest house producers on the planet jumping behind the the LV decks. 

@jamescurd needs no introduction to our regular readers. Chicago born and with that undeniable bump throughout his music, James was behind the brilliant Greenskeepers and also the labels G-Swing and Igloo. His music from across the last 3 decades has been consistently brilliant, making his own genres, not following others he has become a lauded mainstay on the scene.

His latest release see's him deliver 'Psychedelic Freak' via his own Pronto label with with remixes from Tour-Maubourg, Ten Fingerz and Drop Out Orchestra whose remix we premiered a couple of days ago.

We asked James to step up to the LV decks and deliver the latest edition of the Selectors series for us and he has delivered a powerhouse #house mix packed with energy and bump aplenty.

Cacophony is by definition a collision of multiple sounds in discordance. Sounds that shouldn't go together basically. Bogotá, Colombia’s Felipe Gordon does this, but in euphony(bringing pleasure to ones ear)! Spreading himself blissfully across jazzy, disco, funky and soulful elements he pours this concoction into his cluby productions and sets which has now given him international recognition. Having put out forty plus 12" releases and an album since 2014, including his brilliant "Timeless EP" on our Karakul subsidiary, he has found himself on labels like Shall Not Fade, Razor'N'Tape, Toytonics and some of the most long standing greats more recently like Nervous records. For Phonica mix 104 Felipe walks us through what for him brings musicality into electronic music, what live elements bring humanity into our dance floors. Juan Fuentes was born in México City in 1990. Juan grew up listening to rock music, which for him was everything, since his first encounter with House music he discovered what would be his passion, once he realized that much of the Rock, Blues, Soul and Disco Music was synthesized in House music that’s where he finds his way.
Over time, he became interested in bringing the sound of House to everyone regardless of whether they were fans of this music or not. So he formed the "Ajolotek Team" with which he was given the task of giving parties absorbing most of the production costs so that emerging DJs had the opportunity to appear before more hearings, including support for small presentations at the Mexico city Metro.
His sound is unique, listen to House music with Juan Fuentes is listening to a whole new sound in each track he selects, it can go from a classic theme to something recently published and you will always hear something new,from the soulful to the most funky energetic. It is always a delight his sound.
