I’m a Cliché presents Cosmo Vitelli’s As She Rolled Another, a digital-only EP featuring an original track and gathering alternate versions from the Berlin-based artist’s vaults. It comes a few months prior to his new album planned in February 2022 and entitled Medhead.
 
As She Rolled Another is born out of Vitelli’s desire to share a newly produced track along with significantly alternative versions of existing music, which were created for pleasure. Indeed, Vitelli wanted to play with existing material to take it in strikingly different directions, prior to his album's release.

The unreleased track features singer Izzy Lindqwister and additional production by Krikor. It is a plodding post-punk, dub-infused affair, intimate and insidious at the same time.

The EP also includes two club-oriented tracks he released on Les Disques De La Mort and Malka Tuti along with an alternate take in a kosmiche mood of his collaboration with Julienne Dessagne of Fantastic Twins, also found on his 2019 Malka Tuti EP

These are the mysterious vibes created by A-Tweed, who brings us two fresh cuts. Slowly rolling..or flying? Both originals will lead you through the dark night of the past into a new day. Rambal Cochet transforms Egyptian Ring into trancey, crawling turtle movements and Aditya Permana boosts Dragonfly to new heights. Crack of Dawn now have an oneiric soundtrack which could be a perfect start to a club night.

'Human Endeavour' is the newest addition to Ransom Note Records’ family of sub-labels. Curated and run by Ransom Note Editor, and one half of DJ duo Kiara Scuro, Rosie Ama Cain, the label will be a space for artists who are exploring the dark, deep and hypnotic corners of the musical spectrum.

For the inaugural release, six artists have come together for Trains Of Thought: a Various Artists EP that gives a window into some of the sounds, styles and names that you’ll be hearing on the label in the future.

On Beats In Space and Lurid Music producer Anatolian Weapons' track, ‘The Moon And The Sun’, he takes cues from EBM, Kraut and Industrial, matching ominous chugging bass with an intoxicating synth lead and incessant percussion. 

Human Endeavour, a name inspired by a mathematics talk penned by Rosie’s late father, which drew its own inspiration from quotes by Albert Einstein and Stephen Hawking, works on the belief that as long as there's life there will be creative endeavour, and that no matter what you create, the action of bringing something into the world is an achievement in itself.

This idea is echoed in the music policy. Though it will swirl around sounds like minimal wave, acid, chugging rhythms, UK techno, EBM and post-punk, the output will primarily be driven by mood and feeling rather than genre tags.

It’s hard to believe it’s been 16 years since Throne of Blood Recordings began. Originally conceived as a platform to release vinyl singles from NYC legends The Rapture, the label has grown and evolved into a stalwart of leftfield electronic music and a launchpad for some massively influential artists including Daniel Avery and Bicep.
This new yorker label never needed an excuse to celebrate, but hitting this milestone has made us contemplate our place in the world, reflecting on the relationships that have made Throne of Blood such an integral part of our lives and our legacy as an incubator for tomorrow’s most remarkable artists. So we’ve put together a series of anniversary EPs that bring our past and future together on the dance floor.
The first of four releases, Anniversary EP #1 features longtime friend and label collaborator Chloé Thévenin of Parisian powerhouse Lumiere Noire Records, label manager Max Pask in collaboration with Tigersushi mainman Joakim (for the first time since their killer edit of Evan’s Pyramid for Cultures Of Soul), NYC techno mainstay and Bunker affiliate Justin Cudmore, and Liona, a wildly talented producer from Ulaanbaatar.
Four musical points of view with one goal in mind: making people dance. And there’s loads more to come across four EPs dropping this Fall.

Fringe Society makes an accomplished return to Wrong Era with his otherworldly album ‘The Art World’. We are invited into his delicately sculpted soundscape through abundantly transcendent tracks. 

With a rich, analogue welcome from ‘Mondo Dell’Arte’, ghostly vocals filled with tantalising longing accompany this appropriate entry point for the LP. The tight arpeggios are a perfect anchor for the magnetic, alluring vocal lines. Beautifully phased synthesis on ‘Alexithymia’ cries out across the crisp instrumentation. Cascading, dystopian tones are delivered throughout, and artful harmonic dissonance can be heard in ‘Venom In Spurts’. 'The Art World' is brimming with this trademark approach to vivid imagery and powerful rhythmic pacing. 

Intelligent odes to EBM and Proto House hit you on ‘Enigma Body Music'. Fizzing vocals and vast sound design add to this album’s fluidity. You cannot help but be stunned by the exciting, energetic twists and turns throughout this LP. The percussive work is unparalleled and creates an unstoppable drive across all tracks. 

‘Arthur Ave Rules' presents itself as a menacing peak-time triumph. The slicing, metallic motif swells and evolves throughout. A perfectly placed rimshot adds grounding to this sweltering track. The last section of the record leaves you yearning for more of the cinematic brilliance of ‘The Bird Perspektive’ and the percussive, chiming floor filler ‘Frederike’s Summer’.

TORNERÒ' Ma Spaventi makes a slick return to Slow Motion Records with the captivating 'Tornerò'.

Descending arps trickle into 'Tornerò' from the get-go. Vocoded vocals flutter through the masterful mix, weaving into inviting synth swells. Defined drums are firmly felt across this record.

‘Non Ce L’Hai Solo Tu' is a Detroit-infused, fierce floor filler. Layering vocoder motifs with crisp synth stabs make for many a euphoric payoff. The intelligent entwining of electro, early Detroit house and Ma Spaventi’s effortless earworms are plentiful. His gift for haunting, strong melodic intonation is prevalent in ‘Costa Brava.’ A grounded, growling bassline rasps throughout the track, reeling you further and further into this whirlpool of brilliance.

‘Tornerò Reprise’ closes this magnificent EP beautifully. Whispering vocal lines are hauntingly blended with synthesiser noise, keeping in line with the swells across the record and resolving the first edition of ‘Tornerò’ with a more acidic conclusion.

The revered Italian producer, mixing and mastering engineer makes his abundant sonic expertise clear in this enticing LP. Encapsulating his talents, ‘Tornerò’ transports you to Ma Spaventi’s unmatched state of flow. '

Long time no release for 44 Tours Records ! We take advantage of spring time to engulf ourselves into the forest. A mysterious excursion in which we dive hand in hand with Armando_360, towards a burgeoning and spiritual universe. His daydreams lead us little by little on a decisive introspection, an entertaining journey where we fully connect to each other's emotions. Crossed feelings, mental drift, a lover's encounter: three soundscapes with lush, rough and mush-friendly textures.

We are so thrilled to be back at it with the first EP of Armando_360. We continue to dig deep into what our beloved city of Nantes has best to offer, and it keeps on delivering ! Armando_360 is a producer, live performer, DJ and sound technician. A pure local artist who grew between Angers and Nantes. He is offering us is first solo project, recorded and mixed at Trempo with the help of Maelstrom and sound engineer Sébastien Condolo. This EP is part of our « Sortie de Piste » series. A contest we co-organise with Trempo, Androgyne and Macadam in Nantes to help an emerging artist produce a record and a live performance. Armando_360 is the selected artist of this year’s edition.
