Get ready to be transported to a fluffy world as we introduce you to Schmeckefuchs - the Berlin-based electronic music artist has been a staple of the city's vibrant music scene, with his electrifying sets that are sure to leave you spellbound and relaxed.

As a co-founder of Rebellion der Träumer series and Bucht der Träumer* Festival he has been known to host some of the most exquisite shakedowns, the Berlin rave community has seen in recent years.

Schmeckefuchs has performed on almost every floor Berlin has to offer, including Kater Blau‘s Heinz Hopper and Sisyphos mighty Hammahalle. Festival
appearences at Fusion, Garbicz and Feel Festival are but a few among many others

✘ Interview:

✔️ Thanks for this very special set @schmeckefuchs. What was your take on this interpretation of a great Afterhour?

Thanks for the opportunity to create a set that is explicitly NOT meant for the dancefloor.

I incorporated some (admittedly a bit trickier to mix) tracks that have accompanied me in recent month and that I feel contain some thoughts and emotions that resonate with me.

My intention was to create a piece that holds space for more difficult emotions like sadness, doubt, Weltschmerz, loneliness and longing, topped off with some tracks that just sound super sweet in general ;) For me self-empathy is important to let these feelings have their room, to pay attention to what they want to tell us, in order to let them pass.

✔️ How did you get your DJ name - what meaning does it have?

The name Schmeckefuchs was administered by my aunt and uncle, because little Felix was very interested in delicious food. This quirk has somehow remained.

✔️ How did your DJ style develop over time?

That is not easily answered. I generally want to spread music that moves me and touches me. I noticed a strong shift post-pandemic where I feel like the tracks I dig are generally more vocal based and emotional. A bit more cute and fluffy and generally less dark than before the break.

✔️ What vibe (place) where you thinking of, when curating this podcast?

I was thinking of a room full of friends.

Here comes my recording from the Hot Situations event in New York City, US in May 2023.
It was my first time DJing so far away from Germany and I had such a good time. Apart from that, after a week in this amazing city with so many great people and overwhelming impressions - I am more than grateful.

Soooo hier ist der Mitschnitt von meinem Gig auf dem Sonnendeck. 


Die Aufnahme hat leider nicht die beste Quali und hat auch so seine Fehlerchen weil mal bei nem Übergang ans Jogwheel gekommen und dabei außem Rhythmus gekommen, an manchen stellen übersteuert usw blabla....aber ich habe mich dagegen entschieden es zu re-recorden weil es dann nicht genau den Moment wiedergegeben hätte wie er war! 

Warum dann hoch laden? Weil es wie wahrscheinlich von vielen immer nen großer Traum von mir war auf der Fusion zu spielen und ich unglaublich geflashed bin das es dieses Jahr urplötzlich soweit war. Diesen Moment will ich gerne teilen auch wenn er nicht perfekt war! 

Dankeeee an alle Menschen die dabei waren, an die großartigste Artist Care <3 an meinen lieben @coordese für den emotionalen Support und das Mastering und natürlich an @leeni-rhrn für die Einladung und das Vertrauen das der Sound in die frühen Donnerstag Morgenstunden passen würde <3 Ich hab mich super aufgehoben gefühlt bei euch <3 <3 <3
