Our 2nd new resident for 2023, Cosmo Sofi comes through with a beautiful, heady and tribal wordly mix for #3 of our mix series.

Uruguayan born, London based, Sofi’s passion and curiosity for music has led her to dig a wide range of sounds that span different times and spaces. She is always discovering rare and soulful sounds to share with the world, previously showcased on her monthly 'Spectrums' show on Worldwide FM.

Sofi plays the Secretsundaze Residential party on 11th March 2023 at Corsica Studios, going b2b with Norsicaa, and our other incredible new resident Macca will be going b2b with Sofie K. Meanwhile our own James Secretsundaze plays a 7 hour set in Room 1.

Secretsundaze Mix Series #3: Cosmo Sofi

Beraber is the moniker of Amsterdam-based producer and DJ Barış Akardere. With a background in producing hip-hop/beats and composing for film and commercials, he ventured into more uptempo territories a few years ago. Since then, he has released music through labels like Release/Sustain, Lagaffe Tales, Semi Delicious and Carista’s United Identities imprint, and made appearances on revered platforms such as Dekmantel, Red Light
Radio, Boiler Room, and NTS. Always adding bits to his studio setup, from vintage drum machines to classic analog and FM synths, his sound is constantly evolving. Rather than sticking to one specific style, he looks for a certain soulful, emotive and introspective
feeling in the music he makes and plays - proof of which you can find in his productions, DJ sets and monthly radioshow Gentle Actions; on RRFM.on RRFM.

As a DJ he plays in clubs and festivals throughout the Netherlands, having just recently debuted at prominent festivals such as Lowlands and Best Kept Secret, as well as renowned Amsterdam nightclub De School. This mix for Coloring Lessons reflects some selections from one of this summer’s longer gigs.
