In the heat of the summer we are lost somewhere between the desert, our adventure continues as we are flipping through our diary. 
On the eleventh page we are looking for an oasis, a musical path with sounds from the heart of the Mother Earth. We close our eyes and let the rhythm take us away. 
Our guide on this journey is a traveller coming from Poland and the city of Warsaw, with his 2,5 hour nonstop mix he gives us a breath of coolness.

He was born with a significant hearing loss, forcing him to wear deaf aids which led to him creating an alias, “Deaf Can Dance”, to promote the downtempo scene, and overcome the challenges he faced. He began DJ-ing in 2005 and since that time has to become one of the most renowned DJ's in Poland.
As he said about himself: “I never wanted to be perceived as a person with hearing difficulties. I wanted to be treated the same as everyone else. For a very long time, even my friends were unaware of my dysfunction and using the deaf aids. But, over time, I noticed that I had gained a greater distance towards this situation, changing my weakness into my strength. The main idea of this project is a musical trip through the world of sounds - unusual and uncommon ones."

From the first moment in the passage where this small house is located, all travelers who pass by and want to initiate us to the secrets of their homeland are welcome. 
The way of expression for us is through music, it is all these sounds that every traveler presents to us and that's why we support all the artists who in this way aim to take us to these places and challenge us to explore them, which goal it's to stimulate the mind and the body and to awaken unprecedented senses. 
In this small house there is a diary, in which we ask from every traveler to leave his own imprint that characterizes him and to remind us of his passage through this path.

Sʌη Miguel (https://soundcloud.com/san-miguel-berlin) presents "Quersumme 9" Afterhour Sounds Podcast Nr. 243

Unsere Nr. 243 kommt heute von San Miguel, der durch seine unzähligen, geschichtsartigen Sets und Produktionen über die nationalen Grenzen bekannt ist. Schließlich bewegt sich sein verspielter, gar schon entspannter Sound irgendwo zwischen Traum und Tanz, der sich deutlich von der der Masse abhebt. Dabei zeigt er eine große Vorliebe für organische Tracks. Hier ein Streicher, da eine verzaubernde orientalische Stimme, ja das passt. Nicht umsonst ist Oli aka San Miguel ein gefragter Künstler. Dabei kann er mehr als nur Chillout, wie er mit seinem Set eindrucksvoll zeigt. Neben dem Musizieren ist er auch Mitglied und Gründer des bekannten Labels https://soundcloud.com/monada-project, welches wohl jeder von euch kennen sollte. Zumindest all diejenigen, die sich für organischen Downtempo interessieren.

Das eingespielte Set ist eine herrlich ‚afterhoureske‘ Reise ins Dickicht der melodischen und verträumten elektronischen Musik geworden. Angereichert mit einem Schuss an Deepnes und Extase, verleiht er der Aufnahme eine ungewohnte Tiefe und Verbindlichkeit, die kaum einen Fuß ruhig stehen lässt. Zudem spart er auch nicht an einer Menge an verschickten Momenten, die auf keiner After fehlen sollten. Wie zum Beispiel ab Minute 30. Einfach nur großartig. Zugleich behält das Set aber über weite Teile der Aufnahme die entspannte Grundstimmung. Wohl auch wegen des durchgängig reduzierten Tempos, welches die jeweiligen Tracks erst zur ‘wahren‘Entfaltung kommen lassen. Ab der Mitte schraubt aber San Miguel kontinuierlich an dem Bpm Regler und erhöht von Lied zu Lied den Druck. Er macht es sich sprichwörtlich auf der Tanzfläche gemütlich und will dann auch nicht mehr fort. Absolut nachvollziehbar, aber auch überraschend, denn damit haben wir tatsächlich nicht gerechnet. Spaß macht es aber trotzdem ungemein, den die Tracks sind absolut stimmig aneinandergereiht und verleihen der Eingangs beschreibenden Dringlichkeit enormen Auftrieb, die bis zum Ende erhalten bleibt.

Egal ob Hypnose, Tanz oder pure Emotionalität, es erwartet euch definitiv eine durchweg kohärente Geschichte durch Olis Sounduniversum der Afterhour. Definitiv Musik, die man quasi zu jedem Anlass hören und erfahren kann.

Adrian Schneider is a German music producer who currently produces melodic and progressive sounds inside the electronic music realm. His music is characterized by organic and rhythmic ideas, combined with synthesized lead melodies that contain a tonality and color unique to his sound.  

While his music can sometimes feature complex layers of sound, Adrian always strives to keep the listener engaged and invested in the story that he is trying to tell. 

In recent years, Adrian has released music under WAYU Records, Harabe, and ICONYC which has gained him international recognition. 

Adrian once again delights us with yet another unique and musical new EP release called “In Time” (Released on September 16 under ANDANZA).

A few weeks ago my brother and I went on a road trip to dig a little bit into our family history. We spent one week in Czech Republic, where our grandmother was born and distributed after World War II.
In memory of this special time, I recorded this set.

Das letzte Open Air

Das Wetter könnte nicht besser sein. Strahlender Sonnenschein auf einen blassblauen Himmel und das Ende Oktober. Wir leben in verrückten Zeiten, doch dass hat auch sein gutes. Ziemlich spontan haben wir uns dazu entschlossen ein kleines Open Air zu veranstalten. Wieder einmal an der legendären Brücke unter den Bahngleisen am Flussufer. Innerhalb weniger Tage wurde alles Notwendige organisiert und zusammengetragen. Eine Anlage und Licht wurden gemietet, Werbung über die entsprechenden Kanäle gemacht und ein der Kühlwagen mit Getränken aufgefüllt und bereitgestellt. Gegen 15:00 Uhr begann der Rave. Im schwindenden Sonnenschein wurden feinster Downtempo & Slow House zum besten gegeben. Anschließend folgte eine Melodic Techno Einlage. Währenddessen füllte sich der Platz mit immer mehr glücklichen und ausgelassen feiernden Menschen. Die Musik wurde der Uhrzeit und der hereinbrechenden Nacht entsprechend angepasst. Die Stimmung blieb gut, erst als die Polizei kam und der Bass herunter gedreht werden musste, kam das gesamte feuchtfröhliche Treiben ein wenig ins Stocken. 
Doch trotzdem ließen wir uns unseren Spaß nicht nehmen und genossen Kollektiv das letzte Open Air für dieses Jahr. 

Der Podcast von Kiki Kokolores erinnert an eine Jungle Expedition. Ein Großteil der Instrumente klingt außerordentlich organisch und die verwendeten FX lockern die Struktur zusätzlich auf. Über eine Laufzeit von 86 Minuten morpht ein Track in den anderen über. Diese Übergange sind zwar hörbar doch wirken so integral zugehörig, dass sich alles anfühlt wie ein ausgedehntes Musikstück.
