On the 16th of June we brought Berlin to South Africa. Equally influential to dance music he listened to, broadcast from the West Berlin radio he closely followed these new music styles.

Oliver bought a pair of turntables in 1989. This was right after the Berlin wall came down, His illegal warehouse parties were equally noteworthy. Oliver forged ahead as one of the first german DJs to establish a nationwide presence, and impressed people with his Dj skills and fine music selection. DJ Jauche, as he is known, began his residency in Berlin's legendary venues.

DJ Jauche nurtured a parallel space for deep house sounds to evolve, Oliver prepared under the name Jack Flash, a re-edit of the disco classic "Love is in the Air'' and pressed 500 white label copies. 

Oliver was hosting his own techno parties while he was spinning his Vinyl Sets. Jauche strictly plays Vinyl and combines all styles of music he loves, from House, Disco, Funk to make the events more interesting and keeping the people on their toes.

On the 12th of November  we brought Seasons Recordings to South Africa. 
Jamie forged his unique and captivating sound in a wide variety of Los Angeles environments - from full scale nightclubs to many a dark and dirty after-hours, from sunny beaches to ultra exclusive, all-night house parties. His trademark deep, spiritual rhythms and low frequency grooves never fail to keep the dance floor marching in time to sunrise and beyond. A master mixer and programmer behind the decks, Jamie’s unwavering devotion to house shines through with every twist of the knob and every slide of the fader.

PREMIERE: Manuel Sahagun  'Mermelada ' [Fortunea Records]

This week, I am really happy to welcome @lucky-sun to The Sunday Supplement 'Guest Mix Series' … ♥️

Lucky Sun (aka Tom Lown) is best known for his super deep productions which have been released on labels such as Lost My Dog, UM Records, Personal Belongings, Delve Deeper Records and his own Lucky Sun Recordings.  His first 2 albums ‘Olive Street’ and ‘Balance’ under his Lucky Sun moniker, were highly received by DJ Mag and a host of worldwide DJ’s. They featured collaborations with vocalists Alison David, Frank H Carter III and Deniz Reno. Some great support for this album came from DJ’s Hot Toddy, Rainer Trueby, Ashley Beedle, Marcia Carr, CJ Makintosh, Satoshi Fumi, Peter Kruder, Funky Foot, Colin Dale and reviews in The Yorkshire Times and 48 Hills (San Fran). 

‘Lucky Sun: Singles & Remixes’ album is set to be released in a couple of months. It includes collaborations with Jaidene Veda and Anna Ling, which have already had airplay on BBC Radio 1 by DJ S/A/M/ and Jazz FM. Look out for some Lucky Sun vinyl releases in 2026…

As a DJ, Tom has played in numerous clubs and parties in London including Plastic People and Coalesce, SubKulture in New York, Cala Bassa Beach Club in Ibiza, Club Macarena in Barcelona and currently enjoys a monthly residency at Dishoom Permitt Room playing an eclectic mix of vinyl. You can hear his monthly ‘Lucky Sun Radio Show’ on Bloop London Radio, 3rd Friday of the month 6-7pm exploring the deeper side of house music.
