We welcome Loz Angeles based producer, Night Breeze to the Red Label family with the release, Between the Lines. 

Renew is a dark yet hopeful melodic house tune anchored by a relentlessly groovy bass. Uplifting synths in the break serve as a counterpoint to the dark, distorted tones in the first half of the song, allowing the second half of the song to reflect the renewal that comes from the shadows.

Between The Lines is a reflective club track built around a gentle, dancey bass. Soft, soothing synths help fill out the introspective soundscape, while rhythmic vocal chops float in and out and move the song along its ultimately upbeat journey.

Additionally, there are two radio edits of the tracks for a well rounded and focused ep.

We welcome commodore commodore to Sub-Label's White Label, with the amazing timbres and textures that twist through the performances on violin. "Violynx" is the debut EP of Brooklyn producer and violinist commodore commodore, who fuses organic and electronic elements through 4 deeply introspective, yet hard-hitting, global bass tracks. Taking cues from artists like CloZee, commodore commodore sonically transports her listeners through centuries of eastern and western styles of music, with each track focusing on a different stringed instrument and playing style.

The EP draws inspiration from her experience living in Japan as a young child, her love of playing violin, and her deep passion for the electronic scene, as both a producer and DJ. Though she struggled with injury throughout the making of the EP, these physical limitations made way for deeper creative exploration, with music providing a much-needed outlet for self-expression.

Eddie X becomes part of the Sub-Label Red family with a two track release that is full of the grooves and melodic elements that are inspired by influences ranging from the diverse sub genres within deep house. Both tracks are a first from Eddie X with this EP being the premier release from the UK based producer.  

Both the two tracks are club focused, each forming a journey through a sonic landscape which is both dark and airy. Expectations has a long build with plenty of atmospheric ambiance that sets the mood before the solid groove pushes the track forward enticing the listener.  Darkmode is a piano based track with lots of echoes and deep textures, again backed up with a solid rhythm, section that forms the backbone and soul of the track.

We welcome back Broken Boy to the Yellow Label with the beautifully crafted Slowdown featuring Cora, and a remix of the track from aardonyx. 

Broken Boy and Cora wrote this song right in the thick of the pandemic and they say - Honestly, it's a reflection of everything we were feeling at the time. Working with Cora on this project was a chance to turn all that confusion and restlessness into something tangible.

The lyrics capture that sense of disconnection that so many of us felt. Lines like "Call my name, call my name, but I won't hear it" and "You're all the same, all the same" really hit on that emotional distance that felt so familiar back then. And of course, the repeated "Don't you bring me down" — that's us fighting back against it, refusing to let it get the better of us.

But it's not all heavy. There's this undercurrent of hope and persistence too. "Hold tight, stick with me, it'll be a wild ride" — that's the kind of energy we were channeling. Life's messy and unpredictable, but there's power in riding it out. The way the music shifts and builds reflects that back-and-forth of doubt and determination.

For us, this song is about those internal struggles that don't always have easy answers. It's a reminder that it's okay to feel stuck sometimes — the important part is finding the strength to keep going. We're really proud of how it all came together, and we hope it speaks to anyone out there feeling that same push and pull.

MidKnighT MooN returns to  Sub-Label Recordings, Yellow Label, with a deep liquid three track release exploring a contrasting side to the previous more minimal inspirations. Enjoy these beautiful tracks.

Faded with its rich and rolling bass that propels the track forward, allowing space for the arps, violins and thin synths to slide over the top in a playful manner. All the while the shuffle of the kit pushes the energy throughout.

The title track Rain Dance is a slightly more upbeat and purposeful, yet still holds the same depth and richness as the accompanying tracks. The bass dances through the wobbling chord and chopped sample. 

Losing Control goes deeper again with the dreamy pads and distant vocal that is almost haunting through its timbre. The drums bounce and the bass shifts with a rich tone and purpose. Again, a masterpiece of liquid drum n bass at its finest.

Markus Swarz returns to the Black division of Sub-Label Recordings with a two track release titled, The Wave.

The Wave starts out with an infectious solid groove created by deep percussive elements. The lead is playing a rhythmic melody which is supported by a hypnotic synth sound. All elements slowly evolve creating an atmosphere of desire. Everything is supported by a warm bassline, one sure signpost of a Markus Swarz track.

I See U is a powerful track right from the beginning. It's driven by a strong bassline and punchy drums. The continuous pad sound creates a lot of tension, which gets released by the main riff. The hats support the pace of the track as it drives forward through its progression.

Liberated Turmoil returns to Sub-Label's Black Techno side of the label with the EP Day in May. With a darker, more industrial feel, blended with the atmospheric and richer timbre that we have come to love. The three track release has a focused direction, and succeeds to explore the depths of techno in pure Liberated Turmoil style.

Opening with Day in May takes us on a dystopian trip into techno with a driving bass line that propels the track forward with such momentum, rolling perfectly with the drum groove, which is crafted with heavy drum hits that demand space and attention. The haunting vocal weaves a story that encapsulates the mood of the synth lines and energy produced with their play off with the drums.

Second on the releases is Our Residual Self gives us more of an epic dance hall stomp with the huge synth bass line that vibrates throughout the track giving the backbone for the playful arp synth to magically dance across the stereo field. The driving low end takes over and takes centre stage carrying the track, and then supporting the dialogue to ask us about the residual self. 

Closing the EP with They Take My Life. A much more atmospheric side of Liberated Turmoil's production style, still consisting of the heavy low end synth groove, but this take the drum pattern to a new direction for the ep with a different expression of groove with a flow and pulse that delivers pure energy. The reverberant vocal part blends into a synth par and back in a playful and excellent execution of production. A spacious feel throughout the track is created with a rich reverb that melts everything together and completes the ambience.

Here is the return of Su3lime to the yellow record label! With his aptly named It's Been A While EP, he reignites his creative fire, delivering an electrifying sonic experience that pushes boundaries and captivates listeners from the very first beat.

Opening with the title track, Been a While feat Philippa, this is an appropriately-titled, melancholic roller with a bit of a nasty second drop. Features vocals by the fantastic and enigmatic Philippa.&nbsp;This really shows the depth of influence and musical interest from Su3lime. A great track to open he ep with.

Secondly we have Fear, which is a a paranoid tear-out powered by classic jungle breaks and throw back jump up bass. Su3lime would like to shout out to Young for the words and the wisdom.&nbsp;The track takes you on a powerful journey of energy and groove, get ready for a dance.

Closing the release we have Hidden, a minimal, melodic bubbler with Su3lime on bass guitar as well as the buttons.&nbsp;Again showing the width of influence and musical interest that feed the musical process.

Selrahc joins the Sub-Label Yellow family with a two track release that draws on the inspirations and influences ranging from jump up through neuro styles of drum n bass.

The title track is a Jump Up tune "Lectah", originally based around a vocal sample but later developing in to more of a dub version, this is primarily at home on and made for the dance&nbsp;floor, Jungle, Jump-Up Ragga Roller vibes are twisted through cool bass sounds and pushing drum grooves. 

The second track "Very Dangerous" is more Neuro-styled and the theme of the track was inspired by the film Oppenhiemer that came out around the time of writing. It too had some vocal samples but the dub version prevailed and leaves much more space for the track to work in DJ sets. 

A great release that is right at home sitting between the different sounds of Sub-Label Yellow and we look forward to more from Selrahc

Sub-Merge Sessions 006 - Viki Ria

Having been friends since childhood, it was not until 2013 that the Hungarian duo Szabo and Marton ratified 'TheFirth', a studio collaboration nurtured from a shared passion of electronic music. Inspired by artists such as Deep Dish, Guy Gerber and the seminal Global Underground series, an education in all things underground ensued. Fast forward to 2015, and the team are ready to unleash their debut EP via Sub-Label Records.

Keen to relay a plethora of influences, 'Heberberger' EP features no less than four originals, each with an identity of it's own.

Title track, Heberberger, sets the scene in sublime style. A foundation of solid drums pummel the low frequency range while a progression of trippy hooks and vocal musings float majestically aloft.

Ethereal melodics are thrown to the wolves as things get serious on 'Rollercoaster'. This no- nonsense techno groover swells and multiplies in relentless fashion.

'Alice' is a simply gorgeous interlude from the burly club tracks that it is preceded by. Exquisite chords float across the bewitching soundscape and refined, yet subtle melodics glide effortlessly above. An underbelly of edgy percussion provide a nod to the dancefloor, ensuring this will find favour athwart several nuances of the genre.

The EP concludes in the form of 'Derby'. As validated throughout the whole package, the track is competently able to blend the needs of the floor with those in search of a further quota of uplifting chords and melodics. Yet it is the rhythmic bass and uplifting vocal phrasing that take the plaudits as principal components, ensuring a compelling finale to a well-rounded EP.

Their first EP on Sub-Label Red is out 25/05/2015 across all digital stores.

Sub-Merge Sessions 007 - aardonyx

aardonyx are here with their Spires EP marking a return to SLR Yellow following their last release back in 2021.
 
The title track "Spires," pulses with a growling bassline and splashy breaks, cutting through a backdrop of pads influenced by '80s sci-fi films which hold a strong focal point of influence and reference for the sardonyx boys. 
On the B-side, "Survival" starts with a sinister intro that gives way to an overdriven bassline that keeps the listener on edge. 

This EP is the start of a new era for aardonyx, who have a follow up EP looming and a new blend a twist to their sound. Watch this space for future updates from the production duo!

Marking a distinct shift from aardonyx's previous Sub-Label Yellow release, the Industry EP brings a punchy, early 2000s vibe to techno-infused drum and bass. 

The title track, "Industry," pulses with a lively, melodic bassline and an addictive energy that keeps the momentum high, while remaining true to the aardonyx sound and influences.

"Hylozoism," the second track, gets its name from the idea that all matter possesses life. This is reflected by the fluid rhythms and deep, resonant bass that makes the track feel alive.

We welcome Polish producer SQBASS to the yellow label with this two track ep titled Fight — a statement in deep, intelligent, and musically rich drum & bass.

Fight, explores a tight, hypnotic groove rooted in dubwise basslines and percussive fluidity. 

The EP balances rhythmic intensity with a stripped-back spatial awareness, offering a deeper, more meditative listening experience.

Sub-Label Recordings welcome FEED to the Red Label with a two-track Afro House EP that dives deep into emotive rhythms and spiritual textures - titled Wandering that offer a refined and soulful experience — rooted in Afro-inspired grooves, yet tailored for modern club sound systems and mindful listening alike.

"Heart" is a deep and emotional Afro House journey blending tribal rhythms, rich percussion, and atmospheric synth layers. The track opens with organic textures and a pulsing groove, gradually building into a hypnotic drive. Warm vocal chops and subtle melodic elements create a soulful tension that evolves throughout the track. Designed for late-night dancefloors or sunset sets, "Heart" captures the spiritual essence of Afro House while maintaining a modern, club-ready edge.

"Wandering" is a smooth and introspective Afro House cut, fusing deep tribal grooves with dreamy melodies and cinematic textures. The track flows with a steady, hypnotic rhythm, layered with lush pads, organic percussion, and subtle harmonic shifts. A meditative atmosphere builds gradually, evoking a sense of journey and exploration. We are very excited to welcome back NuDivision to Sub-Label Yellow with the two track release titled "Time In Your Hands", bringing the moody liquid vibes that define the artist and his blend of the drum n bass spectrum.

This EP captures the sound and vibes NuDivision looks for when writing liquid drum and bass and combines strong basslines, with crisp and punchy drums. 

In Your Eyes brings the euphoric and airy side of the genre, bringing a laidback but upbeat groove and direction. Time In Your hands is more punchy with the focus on the weight of the bassline sounds in contrast to the usual direction that builds around the use of melodic elements.

"Secret" is a two-track Bass House EP from London-based DJ and producer Emeye, joining us on Sub-Label Recordings Red Label. This concept EP draws inspiration from MI5 and the world of intelligence and espionage.

The first track, "Bronx," references the codename of a female secret agent who played a crucial role during World War II. It's a fresh, groovy cut featuring a catchy vocal and a strong hook — delivering three minutes of pure dancefloor energy.

The second track, "Madama," takes a darker, more underground direction. Less radio-friendly and more club-oriented, it's driven by a gritty bassline and elevated by a breakbeat-infused middle-eight that gives the track a unique, standout edge.

Every element of the EP reflects Emeye's eclectic and limit-pushing sound, offering both mainstream appeal and club credibility.

SQBASS returns to the yellow label with his ep Scales that takes us further through the drum n bass spectrum that influences the production journey.

Scales is the dancefloor-driven side from the music and influences: crisp drums, evolving textures, and rolling basslines come together in a forward-moving blend of groove and atmosphere. 

It's spacious and refined, yet clearly designed with club energy in mind.

Selhrac returns to Sub-Label Yellow with the two track release titled "Clarity", bringing the moody sub filled explorations of the more jungle side of drum n bass.

The title track is based around a visit to the patriarch of the family, while firstly It was great to reconnect and this gave the opportunity to have a few peaceful moments of clarity. This experience was then channeled into what became the start of the release,

The second track is titled "Collapse" and creates a juxtaposition from the grounding of the title track. Sometimes it feels like society is on the brink of collapse, and we collectively want all of this craziness to stop.

We welcome CELO to Sub-Label Recordings &ndash; Yellow with his fantastic release, The Deep. 

Beginning with 'The Deep' and the minimal side of CELO's love for drum &amp; bass. The purpose of the track is to set a simple, dark mood suitable for the atmospheric club nights. Using influences from Leftfield to modern day producers such as ARKAIK, the track starts with an almost empty atmosphere whilst precise drums set the pace. 

The thick sub bass fills the track after the drop, twisting and turning in the musical space with effects rising in intensity. A track definitely on the darker side of CELO's arsenal of dancefloor weapons.

Secondly, we have 'Elements'. This is CELO's showcase in simple, minimal drum &amp; bass. A slower paced roller filled with dark tones and an almost tribal theme, the track uses a heavy tribal bass drum as it's main source. The large drum hits ark back to our tribal ancestral roots, where drums communicate messages across great distances. Perfect as a deep bass line for minimal dnb.

Thirdly 'Underground' rounds off the EP. The track begins with a dense, thick atmosphere signaling that this track is on the darker side of the genre. Precision drums build the track towards a drop with deep rolling bass lines, almost pushed to the point of destruction. Techno style stabs further support the track towards the climatic reese bass, signalling the track energetic yet dark mood.

Another great weapon for the drum &amp; bass dance floor.

We are not just a Record Label, but a registered UK Company. Under Sub-Label Recordings Ltd., we run 4 ‘sub-labels,’ covering a wide spectrum of electronic music and the many sub-genres.

Sub-Label Black is firmly rooted in outright Techno, taking influences that range from Detroit-Berlin-UK.

Sub-Label Red provides more melodic and progressive sounds, whilst moving through to traditional House styles.

Sub-Label White is influenced by deeper, more ambient and dub sounds of Electronica.

Sub-Label Yellow is our latest extension, which focuses more on the liquid, minimal and ambient inspired Drum and Bass styles.

The label formed in 2012 in Salford, Manchester, UK. We are a team made up of 2 core Directors: Nad Asghar and Ben Jacob; who bring about a vast amount of experience and knowledge of the music industry in both traditional bands and electronic music.
