Hard Funk

Riding home from the Shambhala Music Festival a few years ago, <a href="http://soundcloud.com/root-sellers">Dash</a> came up with the concept for this track - calling upon the audience to put in their earplugs so we can all keep hearing the music. When we got home, we recorded the track and debuted it at the opening of Shambhala 2012. It's been a staple in my set ever since and will probably continue to get dropped for years to come.

Joining forces for their collaborative debut on Bombstrikes, Kenny Beeper and SwinINC have delivered a full-throttle Bass Funk track in the form of 'Do It Likes This'. Already well established with a string of chart successes to his name, Kenny Beeper certainly isn’t new to the label. Here though he is joined by fellow Australian SwinINC who together have smashed shows with some of the scene's biggest names including Opiuo and Krafty Kuts.

The vibrant electronic flavours of ‘Do It Like This’ hit hard, with the bass-heavy instrumentation being driven along perfectly by Everyman’s rawkus flow, combining Hip Hop elements with guitars, synth, and driving percussion which makes for a perfect blend to trouble sound systems.

Hey everyone. Thanks for checking out my new single, released with Westwood Recordings. I'm obsessed with electronic sounds that resemble water or fluid and I really enjoyed experimenting with different techniques to achieve those sounds for this song. For example, in the halftime section (~1:05) there is a watery crackly sound that precedes the snare drum. This sound was created by me crumpling a sheet of paper into the microphone and then reversing and processing the recording. I had alot of fun writing this song and I hope you enjoy it!

After years in the works, Toast and Jam is excited to bring you one of our favorite breaks producers... the one and only Kid Panel! His remix of Funky Feeling is exactly what we have come to expect from Kid Panel over the years. He filters in the original piano line to the first break while teasing the Funky Feeling vocal leading up to the drop, which is just downright dirty. The rest is total bass bin devastation. The Funky Feeling B side features Kid Panel's alter ego Lack Jemmon bringing you a ghetto funk reworking loaded with funk guitars, thick beats, and the original vocal for a bouncing mid-tempo romp.
