The Groove Supplier started producing soulful and funky house in 2005 under the name 'd-reflection'. 
But his love for funk, soul, disco and other related genres expanded when he started to work as a marketer in 2012 at the North Sea Jazz Club in Amsterdam. This also changed his music selection. By sharing and playing these type of music, he changed his artist name into The Groove Supplier.

Over the past few years he discovered that he had a strong preference for songs with a 'four-on-the-floor' beat, catchy vocals, horns, a funky bass-line and the electronic sound from 80s funk and disco music. Expect a carefully selected mix from classics and brand new grooves when you see and hear him play.

For this 26th edition of this years Groovers After Work Radio Show, Mr. Jay invited Dave Mayer to create a groovy mix. And Dave delivered a great summer vibe set. This is a must hear in the garden, woods, beach or just chilling at home.

======= About Dave Mayer

Dave Mayer is a DJ and producer born, raised and based in Amsterdam. Although seen as a soulful guy, he's no stranger to the heavier and more tech side of the house music spectrum. Performing for over 15 years and producing for more then 10 years, he's playing and producing tracks from chill out soulful to afro, Deep to (nu)disco, jacking and tech house music that fits from main room clubs to small beach bars around the world.

He made his mark in the house music industry with numerous top releases on high class labels such as Strictly Rhythm (Defected, Soulfuric, Nervous Records, Salted Music and Large Music just to name a few. The floorfiller track 'Funky Like That' featuring Roland Clark on Strictly Rhythm was one of his best selling tracks of 2011 on Traxsource.com.

Requested to remix a song for 'the godfather of house music', the late Frankie Knuckles, was a major milestone and recognition for his talent.

22#26-1 Groovers After Work By Dave Mayer

Susanne Alt is a saxophone player, dj and producer, based in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. She has been leading her own jazz band and playing alongside dj's since 1999. 

In 2015, Alt was asked by a booker if she's also dj'ing and as a joke she said "yes". To her dismay she discovered that this answer had consequences, she just got her first booking as a dj! Quickly she had to catch up and prepare a set.

One thing lead to another, her soulful deep and funky sound immediately got picked up within the Amsterdam nightlife. Performing live sets as a unique saxophonist-dj lead to an unexpected expansion of Alt's career and also her dj-only sets (without sax) are in high demand.

Developing these new skills also lead to her new band "Venus Tunes Live", an all-female dj/live act: One vocalist, one percussionist and one saxophonist, all dj'ing and performing originals in the mix with other hot tracks. As a saxophone player deeply rooted in jazz, funk and soul, Alt is embracing the multiple musical possibilities of a dj/producer, stretching out into electronic music, especially everything that's soulful, funky and deep.

23#09-1 After Work On My House Radio By Martina Budde

Hi Groovers,

Mr. Jay invited his dear friend Yade to come up with a one hour mix for the After Wiork Radioshow.

2005 is the year Yade (’86) aka Judith van Ark discovered the music scene. As being a dancing teacher at that time, hyping up her classes with her energy, she was born to be a performer. Drizzled by a small virus that is called music, one and one made two. And so she started her dj-career back in 2006. 5 years after, she started to develop her production skills, focusing on the Tech-House sound which she fully embraced.

Not easily satisfied, she waited for the right time to go public with her best massive banger productions and it was effective immediately. 

Then unfortunately, because of personal circumstances, Yade had to step out of the music-scene around 2018 and she left it open if she would ever return. In 2020 she became a proud mom and she fully focussed herself on her motherhood. But as we all know, Blood is thicker than water.

And so last year she decided to come back and put her energy out there again! People embrace her because of her genuineness and endless energy when performing. When she’s behind the decks, it’s hard to not be moved by her, that’s a thing we can assure you.

Greg van Bueren is one of the most accomplished House music producers in the world. He is unquestionably one of the originals in the Dutch house scene, kicking off his career in the early 90s, learning music technology with dedication and drive, and honing his DJ skills leading to a meteoric rise to the biggest club events and festivals all over Europe and beyond. As one half of Hardsoul with brother Roog, his accomplishments of releases, DJ performances and A&R successes is seemingly endless. After almost 30 years at the top of his game, Greg has switched direction, recording and performing under his own name Greg van Bueren as well as Greg N Grandi, making waves on top house imprints and employing a new cinematic approach to his media output.
