Mainstays on the house scene, Berlin/Hamburg boys Florian & Nils from Kruse & Nuernberg have been playing integral roles in the dance world for some time now, so it was right about time for us to sign them on Exploited.

Kruse & Nuernberg are known for tastefully selected house cuts. Their collaboration, ‘Yokohama Nights’, with British songwriter Brolin and his cashmere-soft vocals was proof for us these guys have taste and knowledge a plenty. 

With ’The Next Chapter’ Kruse & Nuernberg start a new chapter: Less House - still a lot of Soul but more on a Techno influenced groove pattern. 

’The Next Chapter’ is pure peaktime business, stripped down to simplicity and effectivity on the dancefloor. 

’The Next Chapter’ is the pair's second release on the Berlin-based imprint Exploited Records. "We've known Shir Khan, the label's boss, for years. We love the sound of his label," says Kruse. "The great thing about Exploited is that you can't really say what's coming next because every single release is surprising and the variations in style and genre are diverse. Exploited consistently aims to produce quality music. That's a great approach for a collective and the reason why we're proud to be a part of the team." (Thump)

Time is running. Nothing reveals that ugly truth better than upcoming anniversaries. It still feels like just a couple of years ago, that we started this label, but surely we all know how much we can trust these kinds of feelings. No friends, it’s been 15 years, a whole lotta more than an average marriage these days.

Well, we can’t change that, so just put the shock aside and do what we are doing right now: Turn on your stereo, get into the sound and celebrate 15 Golden Years of Moonbootique Rec. releases with us. We asked label artist and long time companion Ante Perry to create two mixes for us: One from the vault of time and one with recent releases. This compilation is the outcome and we are more than happy with it!

On CD1, Ante Perry takes us way back into the past to the beginning of his own artist career with tracks like „Beachpower“ or "Human You“, but also the great works of artists as Stereofunk (nowadays better known as PurpleDiscoMachine), Bodymovin or Moston & Malente (running their own label NoBrainer besides releasing on various labels like Katermukke, and others). Of course we also find some classic MOONBOOTICA material here and even a rare KoweSix remix. We must truly say, we almost forgot some of these cuts and were flushed with warm feelings and memories of a time, when electro was on the rise and things seemed to be less complicated then today.

CD2 deals with brandnew (Ante Perry’s exclusive track "The Axis Of Awesome"), new (2015 – 2016) and recent (2014) releases. 
After focusing on MOONBOOTICA for a couple of years, we decided to concentrate on the label again sometime around 2014. 
Finding fresh artists and giving the label a new face was something very personal for us and with the likes of Curry & Krawall, FromDropTillDawn, Valentina Black & Less Hate, Julian Wassermann or Township Rebellion, we sure have gathered some truly gifted and inspiring artists. Ante Perry himself will put out a new EP on our fine label simultaneously to this Mix Compilation and this will just be the start off for the next 15 Golden Years of Moonbootique Records!

The journey has just begun…

Dortmund label Kittball enlist German based artists Chris Di Perri & Domenic D’Agnelli who deliver their ‘Bulldozer’ EP featuring a remix from ViVA MUSiC duo Anek.

Hailing from Cologne, Chris Di Perri made his debut appearance as a DJ at Berlin’s Solar nightclub at just seventeen, the venue he would later hold a residency in. He now shares the stage with artists like Sven Väth, Format:B and Kittball bosses Tube & Berger and Juliet Sikora across various German venues. Di Perri’s productions have been released on Deer Deer, Upon You, not to mention CusCus Music where he and Italian artist Domenic D’Agnelli first collaborated. D’Agnelli is hailed as one of the key cogs in the early 90s Munich and Frankfurt club scene, organising parties, and performing at the likes of Pulverturm, Ultraschall, The Box, in addition to his residency at Flokati.

‘Bulldozer’ offers up distant vocals on a rolling sub that build up into a dark damaging bass and steady beat, before ‘Bullis Little Bro’ delivers staccato bass stabs amidst a catchy synth riff and clinical percussion. Then Danish female duo Anek, who’ve appeared on Moon Harbour, Gruuv and Oblack, remix ‘Bulldozer’, offering an infectious hi-hat and snare, enveloping bass and flanging atmospherics.
