Originally put together and posted after seeing him for the last time in Ibiza in 1993 I  repost this mixtape dedicated to a man who's work has inspired me since I was a young teenager and continues to touch my soul. 

ReDIRECTED

First and foremost I am not a DJ, I simply have love for music and the ability (and equipment) to blend 2or more tracks together. 

My earliest memory was playing with my cousins Fisher Price record player and wanting 2... 

At the age of 7 I received a second hand Philips 614 stereo record player, at the time I thought it was like a pot of gold.... And its still going strong !! The Saturday Night Fever soundtrack and my Aunts Donna Summer 45s never sounded so good. 

The first 12inch I bought was Stars on 45 Vol 2, which I bought for "Stars Get Ready" on the flip side, I was Nine. 

I worked cleaning, setting up market stalls, babysitting just to save for the next next release from Philly International Records and Salsoul. 

The woman at the local record store gave me a copy of Madonnas "Everybody" as it had not sold, another fascination began. 

And then there was House... I was unknowingly a fan of the House sound whilst the foundations were still being laid, having already collected early remixes from Shep Pettibone, Junior Vasquez, Farley jackmaster Funk, Frankie Knuckles and Larry Levan, I started hanging around clubs like The Astoria, The Wag and a number of unknown gay clubs until house found a home, one rainy Wednesday night having been refused entry into club in Manchester I ended up at the Hacienda and suddenly it all made sense.
