Ebenbeck, known in Europe under his alias “Steve Main,” discovered his passion for electronic music at the age of 16. Captivated by the energy and atmosphere of the nightclub scene, he quickly immersed himself in DJ culture—acquiring his first pair of Technics turntables and performing at local house parties and clubs. Just months later, he won a DJ contest in his hometown of Rosenheim in southern Germany, a pivotal moment that solidified his connection with music and the dancefloor.
From there, his journey expanded beyond Germany to international stages in Austria, Italy, Spain, Mexico, and Thailand—where he now resides on the island of Koh Phangan. Over the years, his musical style has evolved from minimal techno and techno to a more groove-driven mix of tech house, melodic house, and deep/progressive house. His sets go beyond sound— they take the audience on a profound, emotional journey.
Although Ebenbeck is exclusively a DJ and not a producer, he is affiliated with Black Bouwie Records, an independent house music label based in Barcelona. He is a regular performer at their label showcases and events across Europe and beyond.
For Ebenbeck, the true essence of DJing lies in the connection with the crowd. “When you see people close their eyes and truly feel the music, that’s when you know you’re doing it right.”
