Z NEWS PODCAST: The Impact of the new USF Stadium

In the third installment of the “Living in a Sighted World” podcast, USF Zimmerman student Trent Ferguson introduces us to Goalball, one of the most exciting games you've probably never heard of. It's a sport designed for the visually impaired.  Trent's guest is Justyn Keller, Head Coach of the Girl's Goalball team at the Florida School for the Deaf and the Blind in St. Augustine.

The fate of where the Tampa Bay Rays will be playing after 2026 is still up in the air, after two strikes for the team: the first Hurricane Milton ripping off the fabric roof off of Tropicana Field followed by strike two the Pinellas County Supervisors delaying a vote on whether to approve taking out bonds to finance $312.5 million for a portion of the stadium costs.  Fortunately, the St. Pete City Council voted last week to approve issuing $287.5 million for a share of the stadium costs.
