It’s always exciting to follow some new interesting projects and see how they’re evolving. Especially, when it is a music label and its start gathers so many nice people. So, Jessica, the now Berlin-based DJ, co-founder of Headroom Festival, and founder of the female-led music project Rhythm Sister is also starting Lapse Records. Klein / Melchner, Sasha Zlykh, Troy, and Trippsy will be her first guests there.

Especial brings back, a return to the source, heading to the sunset, the special lands and divergent scene of Bristol and the West Country. Melding the psychedelic with electronic, crossing the lay lines of this septic isle, the presence of the mothership, the grail that is Glastonbury and the triangulation of Free party endeavours from the fields around Bath to Frome and on to Castelmorton.
Up and coming, DJ, promoter and more recently producer, Chez De Milo has steadily built a sound, mixing cosmic and rhythmic soundscapes, hypnotic trance rituals and psychedelic world grooves across a limited number of EPs and remixes for the growing list of labels, garnering DJ and clubbing admiration.
Stepping up a level, Et Al showcases the best of this pulsating sound, growing in confidence and stature to deliver 4 tracks of equal strength. Title track Et Al starts with a trippy, driving bomb. Swirling, building, the tight repetitive Roland 808, Nord 3pm and Arp oscillations intertwin to create a dance floor beat boy dream.

Directly from Saudi Arabia, Noboot delivers a 4 tracker ep as his first solo 12” ever released. 

The Ep opens with  "404," a nocturnal ambiance takes center stage. The synthesizer tones weave a captivating tapestry, initiating a profoundly gratifying journey through pulsating acid 4/4 rhythms. Following "Weather Systems," cosmic dreaminess evokes pure contentment, with a neon-hued, blissful ambient backdrop.

The B side takes an even more melancholic direction with "Glumnite" that brings a dark midnight vibe, blending tempos into a mix of blue acid Electro and techno. In "Sing & Cry," the music unfolds organically, sidestepping predictable crescendos to create a melancholic atmosphere. The result is a truly poignant track that evokes genuine sadness and emotional resonance.

A record that explores different shades of techno, EBM, acid and electro — all blended with a rock-influenced spirit that moves between dramatic, melancholic and energetic, in a fairly daring way. Dubby and trip-hop-inspired rhythms also find their space, opening up new textures and moods. The tracks feature vocals and sound design from various Rosario-based artists, adding diversity and identity to each piece. A straightforward and honest first step for the label — no templates, just sound.

Celebrating the new wave of sophisticated, evocative deep house emerging from across Europe, Recit De Voyage debut their first ever compilation, curated by label founder, Rex Club resident and celebrated Parisian DJ, Molly. 

The tracklist combines upcoming artists either flourishing within Paris’s electronic music scene, or those connections established throughout Molly’s busy international touring schedule; artists who nonetheless encompass the rich depths and distinct attitude already established on previous Recit De Voyage releases. 
Parisian producer Point Carre Quintet opens the release with Nat Edo, a heady blend of frantic percussion which also establishes the emotional, hazy aesthetic often present throughout, while Rafiki’s ‘Tolok Again’ takes a raw dive into itself, building supreme tension with nervy stabs and feedback.

Cribbed from further afield, Aron’s ‘Mitica’s Journey’ embarks down a soothing, spiritual path, while fellow newcomer A77EN conjures a charismatic groove on ‘Running’, evoking the simplistic but addictive roots of Detroit house throughout the 1980s. 

Whether presenting as themselves or an alias, a sprinkling of more familiar names complete RDV04, including Dan Ruh, contributing the fantastically filtered, almost weightless ‘Your Style’ and Marion Poncet, best known as Traumer, dives deeper than most dare during ‘Distance De Touche’. Proprietor of Shift Recordings, DJ GLC ably closes the record with colour and force via his ‘Brazilian Affair’.

Completing the lineup, Molly herself demonstrates her increasingly powerful ability to build suspense and extract euphoria from the simplest of elements during ‘Quiet Spirit’. Undoubtedly one of her most singular and confident productions thus far, it’s an ideal centerpiece to a collection of music in which the standard has been set exceedingly high, expertly capturing the spirit and confidence of a new generation.

Bolam’s ‘Suspended Animation’ EP is the first release from Space Dust – a new reality within the Alien Communications universe. On a record that’s as well-rounded as it is diverse, ‘Florion Heights’ launches the EP into the stratosphere and beyond, with high-energy drums and rich, optimistic synths leading into a euphoric crescendo, all locked together with a fat, bobbing bassline. ‘Comfort Zone’ is the perfect proceeder as you enter inter-stellar space, floating in its lavish, airy pads, deep bass and snappy broken beats… with crystal tones layered harmoniously together resulting in a track filled with positivity and charm. Wrapping up the record is ‘The Mothership’ – a near 10-minute voyage, abducting the listener with a hypnotising rhythm and bassline that carries the cinematic atmospherics and progression into a weird and wonderful finale.
