Lootpack – Madlib, Wildchild and DJ Romes – formed in the sea-side town of Oxnard CA, a couple hours north of Los Angeles, and a lifetime away from the mainstream hip-hop world.  When Wolf signed the group to Stones Throw in 1998, Madlib had already produced an impressive body of work, enough to fill a 3LP debut album ("Soundpieces") and a series of 12-inch singles.  Loopdigga EP collects the rare tracks on those out-of-print singles, each taken from the original master record.

Step into the enigmatic world of the feline fantasy with Felix E's latest release, 'Meine Katze' - the artist's debut on Inner Shah. The original composition by the Grey Bar Hotel cofounder, features Solveig Eger. On the track, the two German siblings combine punchy drums and analog synths with catchy vocals that whisk listeners away to a world where cats reign.

On a remarkable come back, the enigmatic Mister Sweatband unlocks the time capsule with an unconventional synth-pop remix. His unique interpretation blends 80s-nostalgia with a contemporary sensibility, adding a mysterious twist to the EP.

Seeing that I just completed the Slimkid3 & Nu-Mark collaboration, I thought it was appropriate to assemble a mix that highlights both Jurassic 5 and Pharcyde at their best. I dug deep in the vaults and uncovered some never before heard multi tracks, unreleased songs and acapellas from old tapes that needed to see the light of day. This is how I’d like to see all 8 MCs from both groups trade the mic. Enjoy!
