Fever Dream Of Falling Embers

Sanguine is my first attempt at using recordings of my playing to create  samples to build a song.  The guitars were chopped up and played with a Volca Sample, the drums were sliced up and manipulated in GarageBand  and the sound effects were all created with an electric guitar and pedals.  Bass and lead guitar were recorded direct into GarageBand using built in amp simulators and effects.  Thanks for checking it out!

Sanguine

Another raw demo made on the Tascam DP008.  I prefer the ease of use of this little pocket studio and don't do any post processing, mastering, etc.  The tapping riff I've been playing around with for a while, the rest of the song developed around it as I was recording.  I got inspired to dust off my Volca Sample and capture sounds from ordinary objects around the house.  All instruments programmed and played by me.

I Love To Be The Bearer Of Bad News

Newest demo from a recent spout of creativity.  It's pretty punkish, pretty indie.  Sounds kind of happy.  I hope you like it.  Oh and I got some help from my bandmates in NIGEL for the guitar solos at the end.  Thanks to Trent and Matt!

Ribbons

Mutants was conceived and recorded on my Tascam DP008.  I imported the tracks into GarageBand for editing and mixing.  My bandmate Matt provided the spoken word/poem sample at the end.  Everything else (electric and acoustic guitar, bass and drums) was written and performed by me.  Hope you enjoy!

Mutants

This is by far the most ambitious recording project I've ever done, and by far the longest I've ever spent conceptualizing, recording, and especially mixing a song.  I hope the results speak for themselves.  I threw everything I had into this sprawling stew, I play guitars, bass, drums, percussion, synths, tape loops and samples. Recorded the acoustic guitar, bass and cajon on my Tascam Porta02 cassette 4-track and then transferred to my DP-008EX to track the electric guitar parts.

The Lemonade Stand

I felt like calling this one From The Surface Of The Moon To The Center Of The Sun, but I settled on something simpler.  I used a few new instruments for this recording, namely a couple Spitfire Audio LABS software instruments (Tape Loops, Strings and Soft Piano).  I also played the electric and acoustic guitars, bass and drums.  Thanks for listening.

Distant Galaxies
