Boaksi’s first EP “Under the Pavilion” builds upon the productions of his debut album by featuring a combination of more club oriented elements together, often characterised by layered synth patterns, breaks and textured percussion. As the second release on Small Steps, Boaksi looks to create an ethereal and refined sound to follow the labels dreamy ambience. Sometimes melancholic, sometimes upbeat. The EP reminds us with its mellow vocals of warm bright summer days.

Antwerp born, Brussels based DJ Lola Haro burst into the scene in 2018 with a fresh selection of warm sounds and an intuition for creating the right mood. Her love and passion for music and her refreshing authentic approach have gained her a lot of recognition within the Belgian club scene.

In 2022, Lola has launched her own label and event series called Small Steps, aiming to deliver a dreamy atmosphere unmistakably associated to her signature sound.

The third release on Small Steps comes from a German DJ and producer, DJ Balduin. “Everything” is a three-track EP that captures the fleeting moment of the light meeting the dark.

The dusky “Andever” sets the tone with the atmosphere of a starting journey, an endeavor that is both forward-looking and nostalgic.

“Somar” glides after, transmitting the cinematic vision of dreamland life that settles for the night to the intimate dance of ethereal voices. While “You” invites on a lush sonic walk along its warm bassline, straight into the dawn, shimmering with euphoria.

“Everything” is a melodic tapestry oscillating between real and imaginary, on the edges of the day and night, losing itself in the shadow of melancholia to be found again under the ray of hope.
