Smallman looked into the morning. His eyes, wise in some childlike way, caressed calmly the outlines of the horizon and the pale radiance of the labyrinth’s entrance. The one waiting has started that was going to bring the new beginning.

'Smallman' is an alternative/folk/ambient/metal band formed in 2001 and based in Asenovgrad, Bulgaria with the current line up of Cvetan Hadzhiyski (vocals, gaida, kaval), Ivan Todorov (guitars), Stefan Penev (bass), Andon Trapkov (drums).
'Smallman' was established by four enthusiastic guys, who were looking for to express their alternative impressions on music. The core of the band was formed by implementing the mysticism of the bulgarian bagpipe into aggressive, slow and deep-sounding guitar and bass lines. At first, the young aggression, reflecting smallman's early creations, but as the first three years pass, a different path is starting to define the band's purpose. Growth in musical sense is expanding as the bigger idea for the band's future.
