The Smalltune Music Scholarship created by producer/engineer Reto Peter was designed to support Oakland School for the Arts (OSA) students by giving one student the opportunity to record one or more original songs at the renowned professional recording studio, Jingletown Recording Studios, in Oakland, CA. First introduced in the Fall of 2013, the scholarship was open to current juniors to provide a quality recording used for college applications and professional opportunities.

DEVOHN MOORE - ONE MORE TIME

Smalltune Music is the production company of Oakland resident producer/engineer Reto Peter. He has worked in prestigious studios in Boston, New York, and the San Francisco Bay Area, and has been part of multi-platinum albums. His credits include: Green Day, The Counting Crows, Flipsyde, and many chart topping artists from his native Switzerland. He also writes and produces music for television and can be heard on various cable networks and national ad campaigns. In 2004, he was awarded the TEC Award for technical excellence in recording Green Day's "American Idiot".

He operates his own production studio in Oakland and has been an active member of the local audio community as a producer, engineer, teacher, and voting member of the Grammy foundation.
