The Miracle

An original melancholy piano cover of the Tom Petty & the Heartbreaker's classic. I began developing this approach to the song in 2012. In 2013 I published a live performance of it recorded in a single take. Now, at last, here is a properly finished recording.

A new track for my possible post-rock album, written and recorded in the early morning hours of March 15, 2014. The lyrics are mostly in a slightly bastardized form of Old English, plus a few nonsense words that simply sounded beautiful to me when sung.

This instrumental track was written and recorded July 26-27, 2014. I'd heard the main guitar part in my head for many months, but never actually tried to play it or record it until July 26th, 2014. I spent much of that entire day and a little of the next recording and developing the piece to its finished state.

Landslide

Four years ago I started my still-forthcoming album "Through This Darkness You All Shall Rise." In early 2016 some personal stuff happened that sunk me into a deep depression that I haven't been able to emerge from. The album has sat dormant, unfinished and without progress since then, as the depression and deep loss left me creatively paralyzed... until today, November 11, 2018...

This is the initial demo of a new track I conceived just today. I think there will be lyrics, and it will be musically expanded. I am not yet sure what the lyrics will be, or what they'll be about, but I definitely have a concept in mind — one with multiple layers. We'll see.
