dj allie teilz makes her musical debut on smartdumb, the new label by godmode co-founder nick sylvester (channel tres, yaeji, etc.)

two absolutely giddy second-city disco jams from the revered all-vinyl dj. her monthly visions party in downtown los angeles is a spiritual successor to the love-forward anything-goes approach of early dance music parties like david mancuso’s loft.

“type of girl” and “burner” reflect teilz’s love for the particular sound of disco rarities: quirky homespun records that flew under the radar upon release, but developed cult followings as time passed.
