Using a MIDI by Jarel Jones. I forget which sample cds I used because I converted most of these a few months ago to soundfonts to make it easier. Goal was to kinda find a way to make it sound similar to the original using sample cds around that time.

if I remember correctly, the synth string sample is actually based on the original one used in the game. But I found this sample in some really old sample cds for the EMU II. It's slightly modified in OoT/MM, but you can't really tell the difference here. The Fantasia instrument is from a CD called World of Synths I think, which I believe is the same exact sample - but this was sampled from some keyboard originally (probably a roland d-50). The chorus and harpsichord come from sample cds by E-MU I think, but they didn't come from a CD as old as the sample CD from where the synth string sample came from.

Note: I used CDXtract4 to convert the sample cd to soundfont. I noticed for some reason that depending on the sample CD, the conversion changes the original frequency of the sample (as a parameter in the soundfont, thankfully) - which usually sounds of lesser quality than the original raw sample. This happens to me for every instrument patch I convert, and the frequency seems to differ at random. So I just edit the soundfont with Viena after extracting the patch and remove whatever is in the frequency parameter and save the soundfont. This results in better sounding instrument patches for me.
