Pretty cool, but the overall arrangement is weaker due to the choice of percussion. And obvi. mixing+mastering wasn't yet done to perfection in this version. Still pretty appreciable though.

All samples are from the original source sample cd except for the trumpet which is taken from the original game.

A slightly different version of the original using higher quality samples from the original sample cds. It's slightly different because of the sequencing used. One thing I wanted to change from the original version was the pan setting for the bass-y atmospheric sample, which originally made love to your left ear. While it would be fine while playing on the TV, it sounded rather unpleasant with headphones on. So I moved the panning center and added reverb to give it a more atmospheric "cave" like sound to the whole thing.

Altered the panning slightly so the atmospheric sounds wouldn't make love to your left ear and used higher quality samples from the original sample cds as I could find them.

I never uploaded this one before, but I made this years ago but never bothered to throw it up. This song always sounded like a weird arrangement of Hydrocity Zone to me so I based a lot of the instruments on those tracks and I think it turned out nice.

Sonic 3 & Knuckles PC Collection - Competition Menu (VOPM/Genesis/Megadrive Remix)

Experimenting with converting my OPM files to the FM8 format with DXconvert, since VOPM doesn't work right these days in newer versions in FL Studio. This is an attempt to try and recreate the original instruments with FM instead, and arranged in a way so that it could be played back on actual hardware.
