The brotherhood of Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, W&W and Ummet Ozcan have clubbed together to release a beast that had been dormant since the turn of the new millennium. ‘Candyman’ was the creation of Belgian DJ Da Boy Tommy and was a single that would sweep clubland with its terrifying resonance. Whilst many may have thought it was buried away, never to be heard again, the collective of Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, W&W and Ummet Ozcan decided to reignite the ‘Candyman’ for Halloween with a special 2020 remix!  

The original ‘Candyman’ was a #1 single in the Flemish Ultratop 50 chart and has become a classic jumpstyle anthem ever since its release back in 2000. Drawing musical inspiration from Mike Oldfield’s legendary ‘Tubular Bells’ music fans have rushed to the dancefloor to unleash havoc each time it has been played at festivals and clubs around the globe. 

Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, the titans of the electronic world have been busy in 2020 with studio releases that include a collaboration with Kosovan DJ Regard on ‘Say My Name’ currently at 24 million streams on Spotify, as well as a release with Mexican singer/influencer Kim Loaiza and Azteck titled ‘Do It!’ Which stormed TikTok with more than 215 million views. Dutch duo W&W have kept the music flowing in 2020 with cuts such as ‘Clap Your Hands’ with Fedde Le Grand, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, as well as their more recent single ‘Rave Love’ on Armada Music. Ummet Ozcan is an artist who is never without creative material from his current single ‘Underdog’ to ‘Toast Hawaii’ to ‘Fight Back’ and ‘Seesaw’, he’s kept his output active and exciting!

A hard trance, euro-dance classic back from 1998 Ixxel's famed 'Drop That Beat' receives a 2021 re-rub from party masters Dimitri Vegas & Like and Bassjackers.
 
A dialled in and upfront remix, this new interpretation of 'Drop That Beat' is loaded with more rhythm and bass pulse than the original. Retaining the renowned sample "I got something for your mind, your body and your soul", from First Choice's 'Let No Man Put Asunder'. The Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike and Bassjackers version has a partial techno texture to its exterior, but quintessentially it is a hard dance track.
 
The past year has seen much activity from Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike. Following a surge of smash releases that include 'Say My Name' with Regard, currently on 51 million Spotify streams, and 'Get In Trouble (So What)' with Vini Vici, which has over 19 million. Dimitri and his brother Mike also released the wildly popular TikTok smash 'Do It' which became the #1 trending video in Latin America, following it receiving more 250 million TikTok views and 70 million streams across DSP. 
 
Fresh from their latest release 'Show Me Love' on Smash The House, Bassjackers now land on Dimitri's solo imprint House of House. This release adds to the duo's ongoing connection with the Smash family, which to date includes projects like Dr Phunk 'Born To Run', 'Happy Together' with Dmitri Vegas & Like Mike, and many more. Away from singles, the duo also put out their debut album 'The Biggest' via Spinnin' Records.
