Smash Deep, the forward-thinking sub-label of Smash The House, continues to expand its cutting-edge catalogue with the release of ‘The Metronome’, a collaboration between Mexico City-born, New York-based DJ/producer Mayté and Belgian duo Nash & Pepper. A hypnotic deep house cut, The Metronome blends rich atmospherics with subtle experimental touches, pulling listeners into a state of pure, shut-eye euphoria.

Anchored by driving low-end grooves, the track fuses ethereal vocal samples with unexpected laugh motifs, creating a sonic duality that is both immersive and playfully surreal. The result is a piece of deep house that feels equally at home on late-night dancefloors as it does in the intimate glow of headphone sessions.

For Nash & Pepper (Nicolas Geniets and Steven Pepermans), the release marks another step in their long-running partnership that has spanned over two decades. Her deep, tribal-infused house and melodic techno sensibilities shine through on The Metronome, layering the track with a refined sense of rhythm and atmosphere.
