Gobsmacked by the teachings of Chogyam Trungpa Rinpoche, P. Kevin Strader became a student of Buddhism when he first encountered these teachings 25 years ago. He’s since studied and later assisted with programs led by many inspiring and experienced teachers in the Shambhala tradition. In 2017, Kevin became a teacher in the Learn to Meditate program and is currently the holder of it. Professionally, P. Kevin Strader is a writer and creator of educational and entertaining television programs for children and has earned five Emmy nominations for his efforts.

Filomena Leonardi has been a student in the Shambhala tradition since 2009. Filomena is a partner at a global consulting firm, focusing on leadership development. Through her work as executive coach she aspires to bring the principles of Shambhala Dharma to the corporate world.  Originally born and raised in Milan, Italy, Filomena has lived in several cities, including London and Sydney. She has made  New York City her home since 2005. In her (limited!) spare time, Filomena is an enthusiastic ceramics student at Greenwich House Pottery, and considers clay and the wheel her very first mindfulness teachers.

Eric Spiegel has been a student and teacher in Shambhala since the early 1970s. He is a student of both Chogyam Trungpa, Rinpoche and Sakyong Mipham, Rinpoche. For many years he held the teaching title "Acharya" and served as the senior teacher in the New York Shambhala community. In addition to a long career in finance, Eric has engaged in a lifelong contemplation of death, having supported many friends and students on the journey of joining illness and death with their spiritual path.

She is eternally grateful to have happened upon this lineage, these teachings and teachers, knowing that the incredible wisdom we hold is ours to call forth in these tumultuous times.

Joseph Mauricio is a teacher, speaker and Life Coach who works with private clients, couples, and groups. He offers motivational and meditation workshops in academic, business, and private sectors. Bryan Wade is a musician, and teacher based in Brooklyn, NY. He has practiced Shambhala Buddhist meditation since 1995 and taught meditation since 2004 in NYC, Vermont and Colorado. Bryan has studied closely with Shambhala teaching artists Jack Niland and Madeline Bruser, co-teaching classes with each of them. He has been a music educator since 1998, focusing on private guitar lessons and has recently created Authentic Musician Performance Training, a course for integrating musical skill with performance confidence. Bryan writes and performs as a singer/songwriter and bandleader, incorporating influences from rock, folk, blues, jazz and world music.
