Space Ghost returns with hedonistic house anthems for your living room dance floor on his latest EP, Time To Dance.


After a string of successful albums on Apron and Tartelet Records, the Oakland native Sudi Wachspress (Space Ghost) returns with a selection of golden-era house anthems conveying the message of unity through dance – a much-needed reminder of better days.

The 28 year-old producer and DJ has been gaining momentum over the last few years. His growing catalogue of ambient-leaning house with lush musical textures is a testament to carry on the legacy of famed US house producers, who have set the tone and pioneered electronic dance music since the 1980s.

On his new EP, Time To Dance, Space Ghost gets on the mic and takes us back to the early days of house music, effortlessly mixing the deep bass rhythms of Chicago with the Nu Groove-era of the East Coast. 

“This release was mostly inspired by some early East Coast house. I started the idea before Covid-19 really took over the world. I wanted to make something explicitly for the dance floor, kind of like my own dance floor anthem.”

The EP’s main cuts “Time To Dance” and “New World Energy” both come in two versions – a main version and an alternative mix for maximum dance floor pleasure. As the artist’s vocals echo on the track: It’s time to come together and work for a better future for all.

“Now with everything going on with the coronavirus and all the protests in the US and across the world, I think my goals have shifted. Even though the world is on pause and people can’t spin these tracks at a club, I still think the message of Time To Dance is: We can work together and music can help us through it.” 

Time To Dance is out on vinyl and all digital platforms on August 7, 2020.

For its 35th release the onedotsixtwo global talent focus shines its spotlight on the renowned progressive maestro Golan Zocher. The intensely passionate DJ/Producer makes his full label debut with Wonder Way, following up on his excellent remix contribution for the Analog Jungs (ODST0025) package earlier this year. Wonder Way comes complete with a superb remix interpretation, courtesy of fellow Columbian DJ/Producer Kamilo Sanclemente.

Born in Colombia and now residing in Israel, Golan Zocher is the founder of the renowned Bloom Records label and is also constantly focused on creating the finest electronic music for a multitude of other outlets, most recently appearing on Proton, Magnitude, Mango Alley, Beatfreak, Movement, MNL and more. 

Built on an instantly addictive hip-swinging percussive groove, Wonder Way unfolds magically in a supremely effective arrangement of subtle melodic layering and cleverly engaging motifs. It’s hypnotic beauty and euphoric energy becomes even more intense after the mid-point break, as Wonder Way soars skywards before coming full-circle and dipping back into its groove closure.

Kamilo Sanclemente from Cali, southwest of Bogota, is a mainstay of the Colombian and South American underground electronic movement. Having already released an endless flow of solo productions, collaborative projects and remixes in 2020 on labels such as Or Two Strangers, Coldharbour, Anjunadeep, Meanwhile, The Soundgarden, Plattenbank and Global Underground, he now lands at onedotsixtwo with an incredible remix interpretation of Wonder Way.

Opening with a supremely magnificent electronic focus, Kamilo builds sizzling and swirling energy within his cleverly structured remix that invokes an incomparable astral beauty. As if painting with delicate and precise brushstrokes on a musical canvas he creates a melodic masterpiece that features heart-stopping pauses of beauty and expansive energetic abandonment in perfect compliment to the original version and showcases, once again, the diverse creative excellence of the ever-growing onedotsixtwo catalogue.

Jeremy Olander returns to the helm next Friday, December 11, with a momentous three track crooner, dishing out several of the Swedish DJ's most anticipated and sought after 2020 productions through the release of his new Rubicks EP

Heard in full-length and quality for the first time on Dancing Astronaut, the EP's title track delivers the sophisticated and nuanced club flare that fans have come to expect from Olander and his signature label, Vivrant Records. "Rubicks" puts Olander's melodic prowess is on full display, however the real star of the show are the melancholic synths that ebb, flow, and jive their way through the tune's progressive inspired drops. The result isn't necessarily a peak hour, hands in the air face-melter, but a refreshingly contemplative and intricate house tune that reveals just a bit more of itself with each and every listen.

Those who have followed Jeremy Olander's ironclad mixes through lockdown may recognize "Rubicks" as the adorned "Berns ID 02," a production that's caught the attention of aficionados since at least March of this year. The remainder of the release, available December 11, features equally revered IDs in "Summit" and "The Mist" (previously regarded as "Balance Tour ID" and "Whiskey Jar ID," respectively).
