DJ with soul is a very good friend of the S4AW crew, not only through his contribution to the "All that jelly vol. 2" 12"...

He has always been a music enthusiast; however, in the mid-’90s he discovered a music genre which is still the biggest passion in his life – house music. In 2001, he decided to buy his first records in order to learn the art of mixing. Since then, he has become an enthusiastic vinyl collector and a DJ playing strictly house music - especially funky, garage and soulful house or the original disco sound. Since 2010, DJ with Soul has also been focusing on music production, particularly on house music that comes from the heart and which has a warm sound as well as soulful elements. In 2016, he joined the Soulful House Collective, a group of like-minded people such as DJs, producers and musicians, focusing on the same music as him - all true to the motto: „We love house!“

Check out this new podcast by Dutch/German DJ and producer https://soundcloud.com/montymixes. This mix combines spherical IDM with pretty straight forward club sounds and some energizers of the more funky sort. A surprise sunrise (or sunset) included.

Monty draws his inspiration from disco, afro-american and african music and the styles these have been used in as samples. After his father gave to him his record collection, Monty got interested in mixing the records he got into one another- and this is, where his originality lies. Monty surprises with its inventiveness behind the turntables, mixing styles unpredictably to tell a story, his story. You might find yourself jumping to an ecstatic drum craze, while in the next moment you're bouncing to some funky synth disco, jacking to some old school house records. From disco, 80s acid, house and even funk weapons, Monty offers something rather unexpected and creates something rare. With his sets, he intends to bring you to unknown places, to share the joy and love for music on the dancefloor.

Smile for a while podcast #36 - Quaker

Celestino defines himself as "just a dinosaur playing music for love since 1992", the year he started spinning records in Belém, his homeland in Brazil. There, he established himself as an important figure among the few DJs in town who fought to create a real electronic music scene in the beginning of the 2000s.

However, music is not the only passion of the bearded "dinosaur". Due to his work as an English teacher and book author, he moved to Fortaleza in 2005 and was obliged to press pause in his music activities to focus on his career on Education.

Only in 2011 he decided to resume his DJ life, accepting invitations to perform in bars, clubs and events either as a resident or guest DJ. He got so involved with music again that in 2014 he decided to quit his job and move to Frankfurt in order to make a living out of DJing and producing.

His first works as a producer were released by solid labels such as Emerald & Doreen, Thunder Jam, Kitchen, Love Tempo, Kommunikation among others. Not bad for an old dinosaur.

@hara_katsiki is not your typical DJ. The Berlin-based talent is a shape-shifting artist hailing from Athens, a transformation and illusion addict, much like a chameleon. 

Hara began her career as a model before pursuing roles as a stylist and art director, but her appetite for creative expression soon led her to the wheels of steel, playing a magnetic mix of Italo Disco, 80s Dance, Synth Pop and all the black magic in between.

This mix was recorded live @ Tell Me / April 20, 2019 / Sofia, Bulgaria

NICOLÁS TRUJILLO is a DJ from Valdivia, Chile. I met him during my little South America tour last summer. Decent guy, good drinker and always quick with the jokes :-)

He was Resident in 2004 of the avant-garde Club Ocio (Valdivia, Chile), where he mixed lounge, triphop, nu-jazz, soul, funk, hiphop and house.

He's Co-founder of the former DJ collective "Sonido Klandstino", a group that contributed to the growh and development of the Valdivia music scene. 

In 2015 fe hormed a duo named KEVLAR with his friend Mario Carrasco aka Ingress. 

He currently resides in Santiago de Chile where he works, studies and is developing his new facet as a music producer. His freestyle set is coined by his alternative and versatile sound and also known for its frenzy groove and revitalizing house.

Klaus has been digging vinyl for ten years now. As a house music lover he likes all the related genres like disco stuff, the funky way or the shit from Detroit and Chicago. Klaus tries to show a lot of variety in his sets.

He's the founder of the platform "It Works". The collective around It Works presents musical recordings and parties in and around Rostock. In addition, Klaus belongs to the "Palette" crew.

Behrang Mohammadi

Born in Iran, raised in Sweden and currently based in Berlin, Behrang Mohammadi is a multifaceted DJ and producer. He works with a much broader musical palette than your average electronic selector, surprising the dance floor with golden oddities and quirky combinations. 

Behrang is a co-founder of Spazio Records, the originator of the Berlin-Malmö club initiative TTNoTDB and has played a key role in the electronic music scene of southern Sweden for almost a decade. Today he’s one of Inkonst’s resident DJs while playing Berlin clubs like ://about blank, Griessmuehle and Paloma. 

Behrang Mohammadi released his first 12” Abdoullah/Mina on his own Spazio label in 2017. He has also mastered and mixed several other records, including Johanna Knutsson’s album Tollarp Transmissions on Kontra-Musik 2019.

He DJed at kit kat's "Disco Bizarre" night some time ago, that's where I met him and where we set up this podcast...

Estimulo, member of the futura (www.futuraberlin.de) event agency and DJ crew (currently dormant), that has been causing some furor in the Berlin scene with their proceedings in celebrated undergrund spots like ://about blank, Paloma, Horst and Chez Jacki/Maria am Ostbahnhof. Being an avid record collector and music aficionado since the late 80s, in his DJ sessions he's always on the lookout for those special moments of dancefloor salvation, oscillating between House/Techno Classics and unknown electronic treasures, with a heavy splash of classic Electro & Funk. With his label Mixomat Recordings (founded in 2004) he has been putting out early releases by artists such as Marco Nega, immer.Chic, Rezkar (Running Back) and Serendipity (Inner Shift Music).
His weekly Internet Radio Show (EstimuloShow mixomat.org since 2007, also on MOTION FM and Cashmere
Radio cashmereradio.com/shows/estimuloshow since 2017) is regarded as a mainstay for those who count themselves to the deeper House circles.
The last years have seen Estimulo taking the vibe to places like the UK, France, Canada, Norway, Poland, Ukraine and Jordan on his DJ tours.

Some time ago I played at a 19th birthday party. It was a blast and to my surprise all of the DJs were top-notch House jocks. So was @Imad909  - a music lover, raver, DJ and producer from Berlin, who puts together anything with a 4 to the floor that resonates with his energies. His mixes are Inspired by the sounds of 90's New York City as well as the deeper shades of house from Berlin. He takes his favourite dancefloor moments and compiles it into one journey behind the decks.

Jakob Mäder is a Stuttgart based DJ and producer, musically interested in ambient, disco, house and some related genres around. He’s regularly playing in the Romantica, Dresden Bar and some other bars and clubs in Stuttgart. With his crew called Midnight Service he’s organising events with guests such as Johannes Albert, Philipp Schultheis or Panthera Krause, just to name a few. The label Random Mind State put out his first track on vinyl in summer 2019.

In his Smile For A While mix he shows his love for 80s, disco, edits and house. BTW: Watch out for an unreleased track in the mix, coming soon on one of Mr. Fonks labels.....
