True Enemy

This song is about police brutality but it juxtaposes nicely with the smooth synth sound. The Sax solo at the end really changes the mood quite cleverly IMO.

It's actually quite quite surprising that I made this song a couple years before doing eight months in prison for simply finding an X-Acto knife in a gutter on San Pedro Blvd. in Los Angeles, I committed no crime.

Glass Knife

A friend didn't like the direction my album was headed and suggested I used more sax for a mellower mood. This is what I came up with.

"Just look at the stars in the sky
Watch my face when I die
Find my star in the sky...
it's my final goodbye."

The End Of The World

This catchy little tune is about running out of weed and having to search around the carpet for more.

Smooth Chaser

This nears the end of the "concept" part of the album where the protagonist ends up dying and choking on his own blood. It's not a happy song.

Black And Blood

I thought I'd end the album with some pretty. It's about a wonderful road trip to Santa Cruz with some buddies.

Something Beautiful

This was the tenth track from my first little album, a remnant from a lost era. Most of these songs are long gone but this is a survivor. I used many different vocal tracks with different panning and effects to express what somebody with schizophrenia might be going through at the apex.

Jump Steve, Jump

One of my very first songs I ever wrote! It's just me and a piano. Oh, with a little classical guitar at the end.

Wide Awake

This is an alternate version of the original thirteenth track of my first album. The Originals have been lost to history but I'm hoping I might be able to find the original album soon.

The Vocal style here was deeply inspired by Mike Patton and the lyrics were based upon various poetry I had written in my teenage days.

My Future V2

I can't really describe this old song. I recorded it back in college when I was on a lot of drugs so it gets a little repetitive near the end but I still like it.

Heavy Feelings

My music isn't that great, but I recorded it all by myself and it helped me through some of the worst times of my life.
